So, after recently mixing up several hundered mLs of eJuice, I then purchased a new atomizer (Avacado 24) and discovered that almost ALL of my juices are now punching me in the face with flavor. It is ALMOST too much. I'm tasting notes that never came out before, and I now see why some members would say "So-n-such flavor at x% is way too high."
If you are new to vaping and you plan on upgrading atomizers or mods over the next couple weeks or months, don't mix large batches of your favorite recipes because a new setup may change everything.
On the bright side, my flavorings will now last a LOT longer, and I will probably have to half all of my percentages to get back to the subtle flavors I enjoy :D
What percentage were you mixing at? What was your previous atomizer?
I'm a new diy'er, I mixed up some single flavours at 10% to test out. Dripped some blueberry extra and it took my head off. Gave it to a friend and he loves it in his subvod.
I also found 5% a little strong but 2% is too weak so I guess 3-4% could be the sweet spot. Just gotta keep experimenting.
I had this happen but the other way around. I've been using an RDA for a long time now, but decided to try one of my DIY juices in my old tank/mod, and it tasted like nothing. I usually mix anywhere between 10%-20% depending on the flavorings. I didn't think it would be THAT bland in a tank seeing as OHW and such are around the same flavoring percentages. I guess it just goes to show why some people absolutely love or hate juices, when what you're using can so severely impact the flavor.
I was told to taste the flavoring with 5ml of H2O and for every drop you add, you are going up 5% (ie 2 drops will be more/less what you taste at 10%). I realize this isnt empirical but has helped me to not go overboard on flavoring. I am now at 20% and like the mixes Ive been putting out lately
I see alot of people claim the flavor on the avocado is unreal.
I think it's good, but nothing really to write home about. I figure its about 75% of what the tsunami puts out for flavor.
I've wicked countless times in different manners. Too little wick and I get spitback, but I've yet to have a dry hit no matter how I wick.
