Modest Monday - Mango Peach Cream
submitted about 9 years ago by VurveVurve with the Swurve

Hello everyone!

We're doing a throwback episode today. Just a quick recipe I threw together about a week ago and made a couple adjustments on here and there.

It is 100% easily adapted to fit your palate. Everything can be subbed out and replaced so that you can experiment with different flavor combinations. It's just a nice solid base of a few different key flavor profiles.

#Mango Peach Cream

Mango Peach Cream|% ---|--- CAP Sweet Mango|3.5 TFA Bavarian Cream|2.5 FA White Peach|1 INW Mango|0.5

As for overall flavor profile, peach and mango go together so exceptionally well. They are very complimentary of each other.

  • CAP Sweet Mango - A sweet and tart mango flavor that acts as an excellent base and top note to any mango recipe. It does lack some background notes and back-bone. It does sort of have a borderline over-ripe flavor to it like you can often find in mango and melon vapes in general, but as long as you don't go too high on the percentage and balance with some other flavors, it won't show up in your final product. Some people report mild to medium throat hit on this flavor.

  • INW Mango - Probably one of my favorite mango flavors to provide a decent backbone and background notes to mango. It seems rather difficult to pull off a true mango with this flavor alone. It's very dry and floral at high percentages, but it's got a very interesting flavor that really contributes to the overall profile. Paired with CAP Sweet Mango, it's a knockout.

  • FA White Peach - Sort of borderline between natural and canned peaches, it's a great first selection for a peach flavor that doesn't need to lean too heavily in one direction or the either. It's also a very well rounded and full bodied peach hitting background, base, and top notes. You can taste it throughout the entire vape and makes it's presence very well known. It does have some throat hit for people who are sensitive to peach, myself included, but I can vape this particular flavor for a day or two before I need to move on to something else.

  • Bavarian Cream - It's a really good replication of Boston Cream Pie donut filling. It has medium mouth feel. A medium amount vanilla. Little to no egg. Very creamy with medium to strong dairy notes. It really makes for a great "fruit and cream" vape.

So, as I mentioned, every single one of these flavors can be subbed, omitted, or enhanced by other flavors. This is just a shell of a recipe. Still a very good one on it's own, but it can be made better with some tinkering.

You can take the time to build the original recipe, perhaps 30-60ml, then build testers with different flavor combinations. There are lots of different fruits that work exceptionally well with mango that you can test out. Strawberry, pineapple, apple. Anything bright and sweet would be a good choice. I would mostly avoid darker berry flavors like blueberry or raspberry for the main secondary profile. They may be better off in the background or accent on top of one of those other brighter fruits.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and Savior, FLV Mango?

Guess that's going on my next order.

Bear in mind that I've not mixed anything with it yet, all I've done is blown through 30mL of standalone in two days (three 10mL testers, 1%, 3%, 5%).

It's not absolutely perfect; I would like some of the aspects of it to be better balanced. But, it has all the right elements that a proper mango flavor should have and it has no unfortunate off notes. Those two factors are more than I can say for TFA, TFA Philippine, CAP Sweet, FA, INW, and HS mangoes. So, if you are a fan of mango and are not a fan of trying to delicately balance different mangoes on top of each other to hit the right notes and minimize the weird off ones, then yes, it should be on your next order.

Actually, no. DO NOT ORDER THIS FLAVOR. All I have is what's left of a little 5mL sample of it that /u/CheebaSteeba blessed me with and if it's out of stock when I go to buy some more, I'm going to lose my shit.

I just ordered all that Flavorah had in stock. They said it would be another couple months until they could make more. Sorry.

Congrats, this comment thread has convinced me to order FLV Mango and NOBODY I usually order from has it in stock. Only place I see it is directly from FLV for 7.49 a bottle :(

I think this is the first time I've commented on a Modest Monday post, but thank you for doing this! I generally make pretty good recipes, but they've gotten even better because of this series, and when my friends are looking to get into mixing, I usually send them here. Thanks again, and may your Swurve live in happiness, health, and hella good juice.

Thanks for this I am actually working a clone of a mango juice at the moment. Getting close to releasing it I hope once a couple more flavors that I ordered arrived. But based on what I know of mango and peach together at this point this is a super solid simple recipe. I will give it a try.

I subbed (FLV) Peach at 1% for the (FA) White Peach and it turned out pretty good. That's for the recipe/notes!

Cap sweet tangerine and cap apricot (low %) pair super well with a cap sweet mango oriented base
