Notes
" A flavor smoothener that is useful to use in concert with other flavors- "Smooth" will round out any harsh edges and provide a thick, satisfying mouthfeel. It will soften the high notes of your blend while boosting your background notes.
*** Note: Some, but not all customers report that the smell has a fruity aspect."^[1]
" Smooth "rounds out" harshness, softening strong flavors and enchaning background aromas. It can help some mixes produce more vapor. (Some flavorings actually reduce vapor production) It can smooth or help blend flavors together....Sometimes it seems to work wonders, but I've never had it make a mix worse."^[2]
" Triacetin- Sold as aaa magic mask by fa, and is a main ingredient of mts vape wizard by fa, smooth by tpa, and flavor toner/enhancer by fw. This stuff is used in many processed foods and in cigarette filters to smooth out harsh notes. It does this by temporarily numbing certain taste receptors in your tongue. This is the reason you can stomach breakfast cereals, microwave meals, and all the added paper and other trash they put in commercial cigarettes. Likewise, it can make some ejuices tolerable, maybe even tasty, that without it would be abominable."^[3]
" In a 1994 report released by five top cigarette companies, triacetin was listed as one of the 599 cigarette additives. The triacetin is applied to the filter as a plasticizer."^[4]

Taste is subjective. Try mixing this for yourself before making a sound decision.

I think we need to add one more category to flavor enhancer reviews where the reviewer actually uses the enhancer with a group of flavors that need "enhancing", and then compares that to the same flavor grouping mixed without the enhancer. Without a direct comparison of "with & without enhancer" used in a recipe, it's almost pointless to review these. OP, this is in no way an attack on your review! By all standards, it is near perfect and I very much appreciate your contribution. However, it dawned on my that flavor enhancers are in a totally separate category from normal flavors and to truly establish some sort of norms when using enhancers, we really need to show the reader how they work beyond just the generic product description. Cheers.
I've always been cagey about enhancers, but, I've been having a real problem getting my ADV recipe to have a fuller mouthfeel without smothering the main notes.
This might save me another dozen revisions. Onto the wish list it goes. Thanks for this!
You should try it with some harsher flavors like Citrus Punch, or anything that is super harsh and do a review on it, one with and one without, like Citrus Punch 10% with and without the smooth, and note the effects, because some flavors are just so harsh it barely makes me want to use them, but if it really helps making them not so harsh it would be awesome to have.
Which Citrus Punch? I'm not sure I'd be a good judge. I like a sharp, jagged throat hit so not many flavors bother me. I like all the cinnamon candies at high percentages but my lungs don't. That is totally different than throat hit. Smooth can be had for around $2. If your determined to use Citrus Punch, get some Smooth, mix it and report back!
It's the TFA Citrus Punch, its like a Mountain dew type flavor, and I just placed an order yesterday, I forgot to add a coconut but I don't wanna place another order until I really need to. Maybe next time around.
Also it was really open to anybody with the Smooth flavor, I would love some opinions on it mixed with harsher flavors, mainly any citrus because those seem to be the harshest.
Smooth has more to do with the taste than the throat hit. Just like EM, Marshmallow and Cotton Candy. It tones down and rounds out flavors. I'm not saying don't try Smooth, but if the citruses are really harsh for you, don't expect a miracle from it. Has more to do with taste than throat hit.
I've been mixing variations of the Guava Lime Candy recipe by /u/NotCharlesManson and my last two variations have been to add Smooth in one and Vape Wizard in the other.
I've yet to try them side by side with the base iteration, but have noted that they do have a somewhat fuller mouthfeel, and somewhat fewer sharp edges to this citrus heavy recipe.
ive always heard people use the word, but what exactly does mouthfeel mean?
Mouthfeel is a richness that certain flavors and enhancers impart to your juice. It is typically characterized as a full, smooth inhale and exhale. It's lends an extremely satisfying finish, and it feels like the vape is thicker and fuller. Think of it as the density difference between cream and milk.
Milk vs cream, perfect i completely understand now...i need smooth now lol maybe i can actually make good fruit juices for once. I never get the mouthfeel i do with fruits vs when i make desserts
If you do decide to use Smooth, understand that it has a tendency to mute your flavors. It's not really a good choice to add to all of your juices. You can achieve a similar fullness using marshmallow without sacrificing flavor intensity. I have a small bottle of Vape Wizard that I've used all of one time in 2 years. I had a tobacco juice that was pretty harsh, but 1 drop of VW in a 10ml bottle was perfect for rounding off the edges. Use it very sparingly.
I can only smell and taste Pineapple in my bottle of Smooth. At first I thought that it was a bad batch and ordered another one, same thing. My friends seem not to get any smell at all from it, but for me it's just pineapple. Anyone with the same problem?
I dislike the way Triacetin numbs your tastebuds. This can get annoying at best, and at worst it leads to dry hits when you can't tell your RDA is getting dry. The latter is the main reason I stopped using it.
If you absolutely need to mute flavors in your recipe, I recommend tiny amounts of TFA Malted Milk. It has no Triacetin, but will smooth out a mix. Never use more than 1% though, or you'll lose nearly all the flavor in your recipe.
My best example of Malted Milks usage in this way can be found in my Marcie recipe.
Would this or MTS Vape Wizard mellow out Juicy Peach? I really like the flavor but its so fucking harsh on my thorat, as I'm sure many of you other guys have experienced.
