TFA Blueberry Candy Impressions
submitted about 9 years ago by Izento

To give a little background, I've just started learning to mix and this is my first batch of eJuice, so take my review with a grain of salt. I am not a bartender, a chef or anything to do with food, but I am a writer, so maybe I can offer a clear description of my palate.

-----Blueberry Candy –-----

  • 50/50 PG/VG

  • 15% FV.

  • 0% Nic

  • Steeped for 3 weeks

  • Clapton BVC coil

  • Innokin Coolfire IV

  • (50 and 30 watt testings to see if there's any noticeable difference in taste, NOT feel)

*I will not review throat hit or mouth feel because I'm actually not an avid smoker and I don't believe my palate or smoking experience can accurately describe it. I'd rather give an honest review instead of misrepresenting these two factors.

Great blueberry taste with an abundance of sweetness. The blueberry note is similar to a Now-and-Later blueberry taffy piece. The main note doesn’t lean to actual blueberry fruit, but more of an artificial candy flavor, which the label of the flavor really stays true to its name. The aftertaste has a fantastic tang to it, which mixes well with the sweetness but doesn’t overbear the flavor since it's not a front-note. Overall, Blueberry Candy can be used as a standalone flavor or something to add if you’re looking for a true artificial fruit additive. If you are looking to use this in a multi flavor recipe, it might be wise to lower your VG a tad more than you’re used to, because the candy taste supplements a lack of VG admirably well.

If you want to keep your palate intact, I'd suggest starting your flavor testing at a lower percentage. Blueberry Candy isn't an incredibly strong flavor, but I'd still suggest <10% standalone.

Duly noted. I like the sweet flavoring but I suppose that has more to do with the pg/VG mix.
