Quick first impressions of [RF] Stuffed French Toast, Boston Cream Pie, Yogurt Parfait, & Cream Cheese
submitted about 9 years ago by Tabboo

Greets everyone! Recently got in some Real Flavors and thought I'd give some initial thoughts without much extensive testing. All of these were' mixed @ 15% 70VG/30PG since my previous experience w/RF showed they need a higher percentage than most. None of these were steeped. Tested on a griffin .22 @ around 65watts.

Stuffed French Toast - Overall, pretty tasty. Sweet. Not getting any cinamon, not much "french toast". Getting some sweet cherry w/out any medicine taste typically associated with cherry. 15% is a good level. As a standalone, it's decent, but I can't really say I find the description accurate. This would however, make a great filling for a doughnut, because that's exactly what it taste like to me.

Yogurt Parfait - overall, pretty decent. The blueberry isn't overpowering. Flavor is good @ 15%. The yogurt is there, but not real 'yogurty". Could use some help in the oats department. You could use this as a base and expand on it.

Boston Cream Pie - Holy fuck balls. This is fantastic. I vaped all 10mls immediately. Ever had a Tippins chocolate pie? Spot on. Some may want a bit more graham cracker crust, but this is fan-fucking-tastic and you need some right now!

Cream Cheese - ok 15% was too much. It does taste like cream cheese, but I'm also getting a weird aftertaste at this %. I'll need to adjust and report back.

I've got a bunch of others and will report back as I test them.

The Yogurt parfait looks like a great base for a rocket man clone. Just add extra cheesecake graham cracker and maybe some more blueberry to taste.

Haven't had rocket man, but from what I hear just add 20% sucralose and call it a day. :)

Aha. Yeah. I got a bottle in a mystery box and kinda liked it. So found a clone and adjusted it to my liking. I think most premium juices get that wrap tho. With some flavours I've noticed there needs to be abit of sweetness in them.

Any chance you'd be interested in sharing the recipe?

RF cream cheese probably has the same weird aftertaste as the RF cheesecake. Sort of savory with weird weird cheesy aftertaste, really grossed me out as a standalone. Mixed it with RF raspberry (which is AMAZING) and the aftertaste was gone and it justed added a light creamy taste to the raspberry

Can confirm, just tried cheesecake at too high a % and it's the same thing.

I tried it at like 5-8%. I think it just has a gross aftertaste. Do try mixing it tho :)

I mixed up the Stuffed French Toast at 10% and after a couple days I definitely get the french toast and maple syrup on the exhale with the fruit on the inhale. Overall I really like it.

Cool, I'll give it some time.

I'm messing around with several RF flavors and am on 2nd and 3rd batches.

My first try of Boston Cream was at 10%, 70/30 3mg. After a trying daily for a week plus it seemed kind of harsh. It may have been nicotine, but my next batch at 7% which is a day old or so is much less harsh and much more creamy tasting. I might do the next one at 8 to see if I can bump up the flavor a touch without overdoing it.

Apple Pie and Banana Bread seem to be the same for me, I'm not sure that 10 or more % is right for all RF flavors like I was initially trying.

did you get the cream cheese figured out?

I haven't had time to mess with it again honestly. I'm sure it would work fine in %'s lower than 5 for something like a canolli.
