Cream with FLV pink guava
submitted about 9 years ago by sd_junglist

I fell in love today with pink guava after finally tasting my flavor tester a month after mixing. At 2%, this shit is delicious!

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience or tips with making this a bit creamy if at all possible. With as in your face as the flavor is, and as gross as grapefruit cream in terms of food sounds, it may not work at all but I have an odd want to see if it might. Searched a bit, didnt find much. If you've tried with success or without, I'm curious to hear what did or didnt work.

It's not creamy, but mix up /u/Botboy141's Pink Panther if you can. It's delicious!

I was looking at that. Dont have INW lychee but may sub with FA or CAP sweet lychee and give it a go.

FA Lychee is straight soap no matter what, to me, at least.

I know that this works well with a cream; I had a Pink Guava & Grapefruit Frozen Yogurt last weekend and it was f***ing amazing. I would stay away from anything with a heavy dairy note though, so cream, VBIC, custards, things like that would probably work well.

Btw, my gf stole my 30mL bottle of your Melon Mix because she liked it a lot!

Are you just trying to make me broke? Actually I just talked with Brendan from Flavorah this morning and he said he'd add me in the list of people getting sample pack so maybe I'll get some marshmallow from him.

But yes, I enjoyed the 5mLs of your melon mix that I got to taste. I'll make another bottle and hide it for sure

I second the Bavarian Cream recommendation. It plays relatively well with fruits and citrus flavors. I would even recommend even greater -- marshmallow flavors. FA and TFA marshmallow both play well with citrus, I love using TFA's toasted marshmallow with pear and honeydew. It softens up the harsh notes greatly and provides some creamy undertones. Vanilla Swirl would be a good place to experiment as well.

I would go with an extremely light cream, such as TFA Whipped Cream, or any marshmallow flavor, especially FA's because that one loves citrusy flavors.

i got it to work with 2% of either VBIC (TFA) or Bavarian Cream (LA). Let me know how you like it.

Hows the LA bav. cream compare to TFA? I love the TFA version, so much so I never even thought to venture out and try other brands...

One of my friends mixed up FLV pink guava with some sort of cream and I tried it, it was really good. This was his first mix and he has no mixing experience, surprisingly good and only a two flavor recipe.

I've tried CAP VC2, TFA DX Sweet Cream, and TFA DX Bavarian Cream. Of the three, I think CAP VC2 was the best.
