Testing

Steep Time/4 weeks % Used/ 3.1
PG/VG 50/50 Nic%/0

Mouth Feel

Sharp on the palate and lite the nose, moderately dense 5 out of 10.

Throat Hit 4/10

Flavor Properties

Bitter & tart with a light sweetness. (syrupy not sugary, a little like maple syrup or honey)

Relatable Flavors

Reminds me of unsweetened cranberry juice.

Off Flavors

Light floral note in the background.

Position In The Recipe

Will work great as an accent for any citrus flavors, and take the top note position in any cream recipe.

Pairings

Other dark berries, citrus flavorings, spices like cinnamon or cardamon, lite tobacco's shuch as RY4, bakeries, vanilla flavorings, creams, and candies.

Notes

If you like cranberries you're going to like this flavoring. Has a stand-alone definitely needs a little sweetener, EM, or monk fruit.

Have you tried FLV Cranberry?

I've got it. It's a good cranberry but it has almost a dark tobacco flavor with it

Dark sounds good actually, as long as it's not too tobacco-y. I was hoping for a cranberry that maybe if I get now I can figure out how to work with it in time for a Thanksgiving recipe that's not another pumpkin-spiced-whatever. Not one that calls to mind girly cocktails.

I've only done one experiment with it so far. 3% cranberry and 6% tfa sweet raspberry. Tastes pretty close to ocean spray cran-ras. I haven't tried any other cranberry concentrates, so I don't know if flv would be the best for a cranberry sauce. I'd just order every cranberry in the smallest bottles to see what's best for what you want

I haven't either. I was just looking for a comparison if you had one; getting ready to make my July flavor order, thinking it's time to try a cranberry, and not sure which one to pick. No one has done a full review on it yet but /u/elephantrainbows recently called FLV's "straight-up Ocean Spray."

I did a steep test review of 3 flv flavors to see how well they stayed or faded because of their mixed reviews and "quick steep" claim. Flv cranberry is in the comments.

Tfa is way cheap and pretty damn good in my opinion.
