New to DIY. Bought everything I needed and I may have messed up on the nicotine...any help would be great!

Same mistake I just made too. I know adding my flavors is going to drop the nic strength a bit from 3mg, but it still does the trick

At least I wasn't the only one. Going to give it a go now. I'm not worried if its a bit below 3mg, im just worried about how it actually taste.

Nope, not the only lol. I'm actually vaping some of mine right now. Tastes fine to me. And since it's a bit under 3mg it just gives me an excuse to vape more right?

Well just got done making my first ever e-liquid and all I have to say is...why didn't I start doing this sooner! Using only the 3mg nicotine base with 100% VG worked fine it seems. I went with 15% flavor as I usually get flavor shots in juice I buy from sites that offer it. Even at 15% it seems a little mute on the flavor but I know it also needs to steep. Thanks for your help guys! I'll be buying from 60mg nic from Nicotine River sense I already have a liter of VG and 500ml of PG (that I may actually not use much at all) I can't wait to play around with the other flavors I have!

Remember that it is max VG since you're not adding any PG. PG is a better flavor carrier than VG, while VG is better for clouds. Some PG content will help with the flavor. Also, if you're using 3mg nic and 15% flavorings, you're now vaping 2.55mg. Just something to be aware of...

Thanks man! Not worried about it being 2.55mg nic, I actually can't even tell a difference! I'll have to try adding a bit of PG. I usually love as high of VG as I can get. How much PG would you recommend I add to get a bit better flavoring with keeping it as high of a VG juice as possible?

There are many variables, including flavors, sweeteners, personal tastes, etc. I usually don't go much higher than 70/30 VG/PG myself. I'd recommend using a DIY calculator to make a few different mixes at different ratios and see which one tastes best for you while still giving you the clouds you want.

If you want an easy time for mixing and arent too worried about storage or anything go with 6mg. Then you add 50% nicotine liquid, your flavour (anywhere between 5% and 20%) and top up the rest with your choice of vg or pg to get your desired blend.

If it makes you feel any better OP I did exactly the same thing yesterday. I'm not too fussed. It just looks like my mixes will be coming out at around 1.5-2mg of nic instead of three.

If I find myself desperately craving nic I'll just supplement my intake with the store bought juice I still have left.

Hi. Today arrived my first base so im excited to become a diy of e juice. So i have bought some pre mixed base 70vg/30pg with a strenght of 6mg of nicotine. I assume that a i just have to add the flavour??? thank you all

When first starting out OR trying a new nic brand, it's good practice to get a small sample first to practice with. Perhaps you could get a smaller bottle of a higher strength to blend with the 3MG? Use a calculator!
