Setup: Plume Veil RDA; dual parallel @ .35Ω; cotton wicks; 45W
Testing: INW Raspberry @ 2%; Aged: 2 days
Flavor description: Thick, bold, fluffy, sweet, dark raspberry candy flavor. Not particularly an authentic & juicy raspberry, but an enjoyable raspberry flavor nonetheless. Almost has a "Gusher's" juicy filling nuance to it, but with a darker more raspberry taste. Definitely has some texture to it as a standalone.
Off-flavors: Sometimes it seems slightly chalky or powdery @ 2%, but not necessarily in a bad way.
Throat hit: Very smooth on the throat. 2/10.
Uses: The ever popular Rhodonite recipe by /u/enyawreklaw uses this at 0.5%. Also great in other dessert, yogurt, or fruity recipes.
Pairings: Light or dark fruits, creams, custards, nuts. I can also imagine it working well with a tobacco pairing. A juicier raspberry or other juicy fruit flavor to round it out or make it "pop" could be used too if you prefer.
Notes: Greatly benefits from the addition of other fruits, but also holds it's own as a single fruit flavor in a mix due to it's high potency and unique texture. I can definitely smell it when someone is vaping it. This flavor seems like it would be pretty versatile in nearly any recipe. If you're bored of what you've been vaping, sub a fruit or just add 0.5-1% of this and it will likely bring your recipe to a new level.
I picked up 30ml of this last week... Anyone have a good starting point for a raspberry vanilla recipe?
So far I'm at 2.5% inw raspberry and 4% tpa French vanilla... Wasn't the best after 2 days... Don't have high hopes when I try it again in a couple of days...
2.5% is too high, try just 1% and adjust from there. Max I've gotten away with is 1.50% before it starts to get pretty harsh.
Here is something I'm working on right now
1% Inw raspberry koncentrat
2% Tfa sweet raspberry
2% Fa vienna cream
1% Fa cream fresh
3% Inw shisha vanilla
So far it's pretty good but needs a little tweaking. I agree that raspberry koncentrat is more of a raspberry candy flavor. It's almost jammy. It mixes really well with lighter creams and other fruits. It will take over your fruit mixes though so less is more. I've been using it at .5% to add a little juicy tartness to other berries.
Just got this in the mail Saturday and it is so tasty. My newbie Raspberry Lemonade is a work in progress but my husband likes it so I made a larger bottle. Hopefully it doesn't overrun the lemons when steeping.
Champagne TPA 1% Juicy Lemon (CAP) 1% Lemon (INW) 1.5% Raspberry (INW) 2.5%
I will probably cut flavors down a bit next batch and mess with the lemons some more but I only have a few different lemons to make lemonade. Any tips on better lemon mix is appreciated! I also have Italian Lemon Sicily (Cap) and Lemon Lime (Cap). I hear FLV lemonade is pretty good but Wizard didn't carry it and I was stocking up on a bunch of INW with their sale.
Thanks for all the notes guys, I love all the info in this sub.
LA lemonade is widely regarded as the "best" lemonade. I like INW lemon, but it Find it very rindy. Try bringing the INW lemon down to .5%, INW raspberry to 1.5% and cap lemon up to 2.5
I find that 0.8% is the magical number with this one. Love this flavor to death, the only problem is that this flavor seems to be super over-bearing on others and easily overpowers the mix
It's funny, I just re-read the comments on this post and noticed yours. I'm releasing a Jelly Donut recipe tomorrow that features INW Raspberry at 0.8%. You're completely right though, much more and all you taste is that flavoring! Even at lower percentages though, it does so much more than provide a raspberry taste.
Does anyone know how concentrated this is compared to Raspberry by DKS Plus? The DKS flavour is quite good, but I tried it for Rhodonite and raspberry seems quite muted. Is it normal or should Raspberry stand out while vaping?
I haven't tried DKS version, but I doubt there is a more concentrated raspberry flavoring on the market right now. If you want more Raspberry, you can try bumping it up, but I wouldn't adjust more than 0.1 or 0.2% at a time because this stuff will take over the mix in a hurry. I also think that the Raspberry note was meant to be rather subtle in the Rhodonite recipe.
Thanks for this. Yes, I think DKS is more muted. I increased it by 0.2 and still thinks it might take another notch or two. I'll experiment with it. Cheers!
