I'm sure there must be some gems buried deep below the thousands of recipes on there.
This is a great one. I have kept a 100ml bottle of this mixed ever since her original post. Because I still haven't picked up Cap Tangerine, I sub in FA Mandarin or FW Blood Orange.
Liking this one on day 2 already, I can imagine it coming out great. Thanks for posting.
Oh hey, my recipe! I need to mix this up again and see if I can tweak some things. I actually agree that there's a bit too much total flavoring - it's more than I normally use, so maybe that can be adjusted somewhat. It's been a month or two since I've made it, so I'll have to try it out again soon. I'm of course out of Orange Cream atm, and it's just not remotely the same without it.
Lol, I hope you dont mind that I linked it. FWIW I havent even tried trimming back anything, and dont plan on it. I have had plenty of time to do so, as this has been in my rotation longer than most, including my own mixes! It is so good!
And I agree that OC makes it what is. Thanks for sharing!
I'd like to try that out, I'm missing FA custard, Meringue, & sweet tangerine. Do you think its still worth a shot?
Prob wouldn't missed the custard at all, and meringue makes it sweet of course, but prob could get by without it. Orange Cream is the biggie to have, so if you have that then give it a try! I'd like to know how you like it like that. I have always thought there was too much total flavoring, but it is so damn good I haven't tweaked it at all, except the one sub.
I really recommend FA Mandarin or FW Blood Orange if you do plan on adding an orange to your arsenal.
I came across Gentleman's Custard using the ""What Can I Make" feature recently, which looked pretty tasty. I added a couple things and tweaked some percentages to come up with my own variation, but it seems solid as is, and has excellent notes compared to the rest of ELR.
Thanks for the love.
I've recently adjusted that recipe to include butterscotch ripple. Once I'm done tinkering with the new version and happy with it, I'll be sure to make a post.
Well, hey. Since you inspired me to mix something along these lines, I'll share a bit of what I did. I left out the VCV1 and Brown Sugar. I threw in FA Torrone, FA Almond, FA Brandy, and TFA Kentucky Bourbon. Initially, I think I put too much Torrone in, but I tried it 2 days after mixing and the Torrone calmed down significantly. I can PM you the actual percentages some time if you're remotely interested. I've only tried it a couple times and don't have much for notes on it yet.
I've been looking to make something that isn't fruity, custardy, or cakey, so I feel like I'm on the verge of ordering a bunch of tobacco flavorings.
I thought about starting a new site to compete with this one, I have some good ideas but lack the time/skill, I can do basic coding but not enough. Would take me forever to make it. :( if anyone wants to colaborate I would consider it.
Not to be a naysayer, competition is good, but I hope we don't see too many competitors cuz it will just end up splitting the community and watering down the amount of sharing that naturally happens when we're all on one site.
Not to be a naysayer either... But ELR is overpopulated with people who don't know when and how to mark their recipes as private. As a result it's pretty much become the twitter of eliquid recipes lol. Anything that's on anybodies mind is there for the world to see
I'm wondering how that would differ on any other site? Do you reckon that other recipe sites will be closely modded to prevent this? Seems like that would work until they reach mega popularity level and then it would be nearly impossible to enforce.
Edit: On ELR, search by rating. That is a user controlled self mod system basically and it works.
This has been my ADV for a few weeks. Not sure if it counts as "underrated" as it has quite a high rating and a few comments. But it's not a big name that I've ever heard around here like Mustard Milk or Bronuts.
6% Honeydew??? Oh, hell naw... You must have lost the mucous membranes in your airways in a work related gas explosion, bro... 2% will crush all your honeydew cravings for all eternity and stain your tank with its distinctive odor.
IDK man. I must be nuts then, because I really enjoy it.
It's not a bad flavor, (on the contrary, its cloyingly authentic,) but I thought it got OP really quick. I had to rebuild and scrub the tank after a 4% mix because while most flavors will kind of "fade into" each other the Honeydew seemed just as strong after two tanks of other liquid... Just rolling right over any other flavoring... 6% would taste bad outright to me, 4% was vapable but that stuff is so potent I'd try a 2 or 3% mix (if you haven't already,) to see if it's still strong enough for you. If nothing else it would save on how much you're using in a batch.
