I'm having a senior brain dead moment and need a lil help please!
submitted over 9 years ago by vapingrammy

I made the Groolberry Creamcake concentrate recipe. Not the the regular one. I use 1% nic and I want to make 60 mls of juice. The recipe calls for using up to 24% conc. Which is what I want to use.

Now here is the problem. I can't for the life of me figure out how much VG and PG to use to get a 60 VG/40 PG mix. I use the ELR calculator but still can't figure it out. Can anyone ELI5. Please?

When you say "concentrate", I assume you mean you blended all the flavoring ingredients into one pre-mixed formula?

If so, just enter that into the calculator as an unrecognized ingredient, along with your nic base and VG/PG ratio. Like so although I just used my nicotine base for reference, since I don't know what you use.

Yes! That's what I needed. Thanks so much. I take this medication that causes me to forget things I KNOW. Like my children's names etc, so crazy! Lol. Thanks again.

That would drive me absolutely nuts. My memory is bad enough without medicine making it worse!

Glad I could help. :)

Lol it is driving me nuts! But what do you do? So I just end up asking a lot of crazy questions, I'm sure everyone thinks I've lost my mind--and I guess I have. But I've noticed people are much nicer when they think you are an Alzheimer's patient lol.

Alright I'm going to assume you made a concentrate or base out of the recipe, and you already added nicotine.

VG=35.4 ml

PG=9.6 ml

Concentrate=14.4 ml

These numbers should give you the ratio you're looking for hope your senior moment passes.

For Flavoring: Flavor % total = 24%, so 60ml * .24 = 14.4ml total flavor concentrate.

For Nicotine: I’m confused by your 1% nicotine as you didn't include strength and base, so I will calculate at 3mg from 100mg/100% VG (which is what I use), so 60ml * .03 nic = 1.8ml total nic

For VG ratio: 60ml * 0.6 = 36ml VG TOTAL. Since my nic is VG based, 36ml – 1.8ml nic = 34.2ml VG needs to be added.

For PG ratio: 60ml * 0.4 = 24ml PG TOTAL. Since flavoring is PG based, 24ml – 14.4ml = 9.6ml PG needs to be added.

If you are using a ejuice calculator, just use the flavor concentrate as you would enter a single flavoring and do the nic, VG, and PG as normal.

Thank you, don't know how you math wizards do this. Amazing!
