The purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a flavor and it's many uses.
We're not just looking for you to post recipes you have containing the flavor of the week, but looking for you to share your process as you develop a new juice using the flavor of the week.
This should help us all to better understand how certain flavors interact, and give us all a launching point to perhaps discovering new wonderful recipes. Please post new recipes created using this flavor as well as any and all tasting notes as main posts. Thought process is encouraged also.
While I definitely encourage you to branch out with this flavor and use some more rare flavors, I would encourage everyone to keep it in mind that others will not be able to try your recipe and comment or offer assistance if they do not have the flavors you are using. I would also encourage you to use this week's flavor as the "main" flavor in your recipe although this is not required.

INW Cactus. Use of cactus as a juice-ifier seems to work wonders with watermelon. Especially FA Watermelon, which needs some help in the juiciness department. I made this simple Strap-On recipe that tastes good, but has a little problem with "dryness" that I seem to get whenever mixing all-FA fruits without any wetter ingredients: FA Strawberry 3%, FA Watermelon 3%, FA Fuji 2%. Comes across as sort of a fruit punch with a crisp apple juice base and strawberry-melon blend up top. Nothing special. But add 1% INW Cactus and BAM- juicy juice heaven. Like just drowning in a Capri Sun flavor that hasn't been invented yet but definitely should be.
I found this recipe on the July 2015 monthly thread, tweaked it just a little, and it's become the best tasting watermelon vape I've had. Juicy Watermelon: TFA Watermelon 7%, CAP Sweet Watermelon 2%, INW Cactus 1%, TFA Dragonfruit 2%, TFA Marshmallow 1%.
Another good example of watermelon and cactus together is Botboy's "Cactus Strikes Again" 1% INW Cactus, 1% FA Watermelon, 3% TFA Strawberry, 0.5% FA Kiwi, 2% TFA Marshmallow (optional). Not really a "watermelon" recipe, more of a weird, wonderful strawberry-cactus thing, but it wouldn't be the same without the FA Watermelon.
If anyone has a really good Watermelon Lemonade recipe or an Otai recipe... PLEASE... I've been working on those off and on but can't seem to get them right.
Maybe it's just the impending solstice but I've thought about Watermelon-Honeysuckle, Watermelon-Blackberry, and Watermelon-Citrus blends. Other than FA Citrus Mix for the Watermelon Citrus blend, and obviously TFA Honeysuckle, I'm not sure which brands I'd even use for those, much less %s, but I thought I'd throw the ideas out there in case anyone's already done one of them or wants to do one or offer advice on them. Edit: double-checked notes, fixed a number.
1% Cactus with Strap-On? Shit...I went way too low (@0.2%). Time to try that out now. Presently, I am messing with a strawberry-watermelon-lime and a watermelon-raspberry-lime, but fuck it...I'm going after that Watermelon-Honeysuckle now! As a matter of fact, what do you think about a FA watermelon/strawberry combo that incorporates TFA Honeysuckle?
Ha! I thought of you when I tried adding Cactus to Strap-On. At first I was just going to do 0.5%. Then, "What Would Philosphucker Do? 2%. That's crazy I'm not doing that!" And that's how I arrived at 1%, a nice cactus compromise. I'd say 0.2% would be great for preserving the intended flavor while fixing the dryness problem, but to hell with it, 1% was a lot more fun.
I think an FA watermelon/strawberry combo that incorporates TFA Honeysuckle sounds incredible! Although, I hate to distract you from strawberry-watermelon-lime because that sounds terrific too. Edit: Why not strawberry watermelon honeysuckle lime?
I'm chillin here completely satisfied with Strap-On with 1% cactus, but on to the project because strawberry watermelon honeysuckle lime sounds great!
I'm thinking about starting here:
TFA honeysuckle - 3%
FA strawberry - 2%
FA watermelon - 3%
(supporting, sweeter watermelon??)
FA lime tahity cp - 0.75% (detectable without killing everything?)
INW cactus - 0.3%
See any potential problems/have any suggestions there?
I was working on a Watermelon Cupcake some time ago that maybe a good launching point for you:
Watermelon Cupcake
- blackberry (tpa) 1%
- buttercream (cap) 1%
- red summer (fa) 4.5%
- vanilla cupcake (cap) 2.5%
The blackberry is to pronounced for what I was really going for, but it wasn't bad. Very candy like.
I've always had a problem getting Red Summer (FA) to really stand out in a recipe. I will definitely have to try Cactus (INW) with it.

Watermelon Cupcake, what a delightfully weird idea. I recently made a Blackberry Bourbon and 0.5% was more than enough for TFA Blackberry to stand out as one of the two main flavors, so I don't doubt that 1% was a bit too strong. I don't have CAP Butter Cream yet but I think I'll give this a go just leaving out that one and see what happens, what direction I might take it next: TFA Blackberry 0.5%, FA Red Summer 4.5%, CAP Vanilla Cupcake 2.5%. It's not just you, FA Watermelon (Red Summer) really tries to hide in a mix. Which sucks because it's such a natural, not candy-tasting watermelon. I've used it in places where I didn't want it to stand out and used it to add some authenticity to the less realistic TFA Watermelon and to touch a different place on the palate than TFA and CAP Sweet watermelons, but getting it to be the boss flavor is tough.
If you can, try two small batches, one just 4% Red Summer (unless you already know well enough from memory what that tastes like) and one 4% Red Summer + 0.5% INW Cactus to see the difference. It's like taking a piece of freeze-dried watermelon and re-hydrating it.
I'm also looking for a good watermelon lemonade (and strawberry lemonade for that matter). I would love to hear what you come up with.
I haven't been entirely happy with my attempts at either of those yet and might do a better job of giving examples of what not to do.
The best watermelon lemonade I've made so far has been: INW Lemon Base 2% (INW Lemon Base is a mix I made of 75% INW Lemon Concentrate, 25% INW Lemon Mix), CAP Sweet Watermelon 4%, FA Watermelon 4%, TFA Watermelon 3%. The next time I try, I'm going to do the same thing but with slightly less Lemon Base because it was too strong on the lemon, not letting the watermelon shine enough. And at the same time I'm going to take HocusKrokus' advice above and give LA Lemonade another try, probably doing 4% each LA Lemonade, FA Watermelon, and CAP Sweet Watermelon for starters and adjusting from there.
On Strawberry Lemonade, the best I've gotten is 7% TFA Strawberry, 3% FA Strawberry, 7% CAP Juicy Lemon. First of all, that was too much lemon. Secondly, this is a recipe I haven't revisited in a long time. I want to try it with the INW Lemon Base, probably at something like 1.2% (those INW lemons are strong).
If you're interested in strawberry limeades, I've got one of those as well that I am pretty happy with: FA Strawberry 4%, TFA Strawberry 4%, FA Lime Cold-Pressed 3%, FA Lime Distilled 1%. Friends love that one. Future attempts I have planned for it are really just me playing rather that perfecting: trying it with Koolada, a little FA Cola, TFA Champagne. I think I'll even give it a try with some VBIC, make a "Frosted Strawberry Limeade," like the way Chick-Fil-A blends their lemonade with soft-serve ice cream and calls it a "Frosted Lemonade."
My wife and I are both very into strawberry lemonades. Our go to juice is a mix of FuZion Endless Summer and Exodus Sour Summer.
I've been trying all sorts of recipes to get one made, but the lemon is just overpowering.

But the lemonade was too strong. Took it all the way down to 5% and added about 2% dragonfruit (TFA) as I saw you post about how it helps merge flavors. It's better, but still not there. I'm just not sure what I'm missing.
LA Watermelon and TFA Watermelon Candy make a pretty stellar Watermelon Lemonade vape, I throw in a little CAP Sweet Guava to bolster the melon notes. TFA Honeysuckle pairs pretty well with Watermelon, but the end result is kind of thin tasting, if that makes sense. It needs a little Pear or Fuji to add some body/sweetness the the recipe, maybe I'll work on that tonight, it's been awhile since I used Honeysuckle, and it's one of my very favorite flavors.
Edit: I've also really enjoyed watermelon paired with TFA Citrus Punch, CAP Lemon Sicily, Mint (and menthol too, if that's your thing), FA Fuji, FA/INW Pear, FW Lemonade, FW Blueberry, and FW Hard Candy

Thin-tasting makes perfect sense to me, and it makes sense that honeysuckle and watermelon would have that problem. Isn't Honeysuckle a fun flavor? Watermelon and Honeysuckle both taste like summer vacation to me, so I don't know why I never thought to combine them until very recently. But, after tasting the real thing, I have done some work on a honeysuckle ice cream recipe.

If you are looking for a good candy watermelon try FW candy at 4% and LA clear at 4%. Combined they make a nice sweet candy watermelon with just a hint of rind.
Cap Sweet Watermelon
Best at 4%
Semi sweet
some rind taste
Cap Double watermelon
Best at 4%
Natural semi sweet watermelon
No rind taste
Slight waxy aftertaste
If you mix it at 3% with 3% Cap Sweet watermelon it makes a nice natural flavour without the waxy aftertaste

I still have to play with the INW a little more to find a good % it's hard to mix such low percentages in small batches.
Has anyone experienced medicine flowers watermelon and how does it compare to other companies like inawera and Loranns.
This is my first ADV recipe that I've created, so I'll take this opportunity to share!
Watermelon (FA) : 5% Honeydew (TFA) : 3% Dragon Fruit (TFA) : 2% Lime Tahiti CP (FA) : 1% Malic Acid (10%) : 1%
Flavour Total : 12%
It's light and refreshing and very sweet. The honeydew definitely dominates but I find that the watermelon compliments it well and gives it a little more depth.
The Dragon Fruit / Lime / Malic give it a nicely rounded background "tang".
I mix this at 70% VG. Tastes good as a shake'n'vape, levels out a little after a day or two.
I'm very interested in the combination of flavors here and I want to try this exactly as you've shared it first, because I could be completely wrong and very pleasantly surprised by it, but I have some doubts about the %s.
One of them is just me, lots of other people like it that high, but I get a soapy aftertaste from TFA Honeydew any higher than 2%. But maybe this time I won't get that. The other I think is a question more others would share: That is a lot of cold-pressed lime, especially as a background note. Have you tried it after longer than than a few days or do you vape it all up within three or four days? I can imagine the lime starting to become overbearing after more than a few days.
Anyway, thank you for sharing this. Does it have a name? I'd like to use its name when I add it to my list of recipes to try.
I have a bottle of this stashed away to try after a couple week steep, but usually I mix up a 50ml bottle at a time and vape it within a few days. Thus far it's maybe lasted a week at most.
The lime doesn't seem too high to me, but I do like lime quite a lot so maybe my tastes distort it a little. It does still sit in the background to my senses, but there is a noticable bitter lime taste on my tongue on the exhale, which I quite like, especially in contrast to the sweetness of the honeydew.

In my simple little recipe book it's called...."Honeydew". Creative right.
I like lime a lot, too. I will eventually get a chance to try it and will let you know. I keep really long list of recipes and just work down it one at a time unless I happen to get stuck on trying to perfect one of them or something happens that makes me feel compelled to skip down or back up. Get to the bottom, then go back to the top. Anyway, saved as "Nw167's Honey-Do Tang."
I have a dram or two of LA Watermelon (not clear). Does anyone have any advice for this, is it even okay to use the version that's colored? I've mixed with it once but haven't touched it since
You can use the colored version, but obviously the one that is clear is better for your coils. Mix it with strawberries and coconut for a nice tasting Tiger's Blood recipe. I use it at about 5% LA Watermelow, 1% INW Strawberry, and any coconut to taste.
