With the way things are going via FDA I figure I better start learning how to make my own e-liquid.
The first step is actually doing it -
I have some NOW VG and some Lorann flavors, but no nic. Got a ton of 30ml blue bottles and a couple of syringes from the pharmacy so I figure I could try something simple in order to get the hang of it.
When it comes to cooking I'm fairly visual so a youtube video would be worthwhile if there's any recommendations?
I'm partial to strawberry and ultimately I'd like to get to producing a very mild tobacco choco nut ala prime15 or better.
I figure even if the FDA e-liquid thing is turned around I could save a bit more money making my own.
I figure I go through 30mls a week So I'd like to at least try making enough for a few weeks to test things out.
thanks :)
Welcome!
Only 3 things you really need to know
Ready the side bar over and over it answers almost all your questions
Reddit search sucks use this instead site:reddit.com/r/diy_ejuice (search term e.g. Strawberry)
If you are being stupid /u/abdada will let you know don't argue with him learn and listen
Other than that good luck and have fun
There's been a lack of abdada lately.
> mild tobacco choco nut
Hmm, you've inspired me to try this.
- FLV flue cured tobacco - 1.5%
- FA pistachio - 1%
- FA almond - 1%
- FLV milk and honey - 1%
- HS Australian chocolate - 0.5%
Going to mix this when I get home.
Also, I have a collection of useful beginner information over at /r/ModestMonday
oooooooo yum!
ya know what I always wanted to try was an orange chocolate with a hint of cranberry and as an alternative a touch of tobacco
I thought that would make the perfect fall and holiday vape, adding tobacco would hold you all through winter.
u/Vurve you caused me to buy Cured Tobacco and I loved it, I recently did a batch of RY4 with Shisha Vanilla and some other pairings that turned out great as well. Opened my eyes up to the Tobacco side of vapes, definitely a nice flavor to relax and puff on without that ashy flavor of a cigar.
Needless to say, thanks!
That right there is why I do it brother.
I was equally blown away by just how much I enjoyed tobacco flavors. Even though I smoked cigarettes, I never truly enjoyed the taste. However, vaping tobacco is like drinking a nice tea. It's herbal and refreshing.
I never enjoyed the smoke, that was always my downfall. I had a smoke allergy and was a smoker, the irony.
Cigars I enjoyed, my friend would always buy expensive cigars and smoke them when we finished projects (music, art, etc...) and they were great minus loose tobacco flying into my mouth. Now this is a gem because that is gone, I'm definitely going to try to recontact him, he's in North Carolina right now and send him some of your Sweet Leaf. He started vaping before me and when I switched over from analogs he was trying to send me his old set ups to help.
I just ordered that Australian Chocolate...would you say .5 is a good starting point? It should be here today...
Somewhere between 0.25-0.5% would be good starting points for using it as a supporting flavor. With it being a chocolate, it's very assertive and bold, and it's a Hangsen flavor, which makes it potent.
So, start it low, then work it up to your preference.
Hey guys, sorry for the random question but i need your advice, i have a bunch of presteeped ejucie without nicotine, and i just bought 100mg of nicotine, can i add nicotine to the presteeped ejuice and vape it right away or should i leave it some time to mix?
I took a gander at the side bar - I think I need to use a different browser - anyway some pages were messed up and i found a few broken links, should I report that? and to whom or where?
Also, I looked under verified vendors and noticed Lorann wasn't on the list - should that vendor be avoided?
If yourr using mobile, switch to a computer, but if some links are actually dead, tell /u/kirkt
Loranns is hit or miss...they have never wished to be affiliated with vaping, so they've never disclosed ingredients or cared about food coloring...DIYers have been using them since the dawn of DIY, however- if you do a Google search, there used to be a chart on one of the forums about results of using-Personally, they have a handful I'll always use...like Butter Rum, Banana Cream and Cream Cheese Frosting...stay away from obvious oil based ones-like sarsaparilla...

This. Check out the beginner mixing video(s) from DIYorDie (it's a bit older, so you will need to scroll back bit). Also, read up in the sidebar/beginners mixing threads. Shit, I've been mixing for a year now and a couple of my recent questions have been best asked in that thread.
