TFA Whipped Cream [Flavor Review]
submitted over 9 years ago by wh1skeyk1ngDiketones, Schmiketones

Setup: Plume Veil RDA; dual parallel @ .35Ω; cotton wicks; 45W

Testing: TFA Whipped Cream @ 2% and also 5%; Aged: 6 days

Flavor description: Sweet, airy, slight creaminess at 2%, a little heavier with some milkiness and maybe a hint of butter at 5% but still overall it's a pretty airy standalone vape even at 5%. Some slight notes of cool whip in there, but not really a full on "cool whip" taste at either %.

Off-flavors: Maybe a tiny bit of cheesiness on the exhale at 5%, but to me, it's negligible and probably wouldn't be present with other flavors added to it.

Throat hit: Almost non-existent on the inhale, I'd give it a 3/10 on the exhale @5%.

Uses: Fluffing up a heavier cream, or adding milkiness to a cereal recipe.

Pairings: Other creams, fruits, cereals, waffles.

Notes: I don't really see this as a desirable standalone flavor, as it is rather boring by itself. Seems to have a lot more flavor and throat feel on the exhale than on the inhale though. Most recipes may need another cream to help thicken or round out the flavor.

Great write up, very accurate. I enjoyed this flavor to cut through the sweetness of TFA Fudge Brownie. Will have to compare with CAP and FW whipped cream.

Thx for the reviews. Really good info.

This particular flavor has been an anomaly to me. Personally feel its beyond bland and useless and I have never noticed it (flavor/texture wise) being in any recipe that we have tested with it.

But seemingly everyone loves it and it is very commonly used.

CAP and FW Whipped creams are way more accurate and actually have some sort of texture/taste to them.

Setup

RDA/ Velocity Coil/ 6 Wrap Single Fused Kanthal Clapton 2×26 core 32 wrap W/ 45 Wicking/ Full Cotton Ω/0.26

Testing

Steep Time/4 weeks % Used/ 5
PG/VG 50/50 Nic%/0

Mouth Feel

Light on the palate and nose, moderately dense 4 out of 10.

Throat Hit 3/10

Flavor Properties

Fluffy light cream, nice and buttery with a slightly overpowering sweetness.

Relatable Flavors

Reminds me a bit of Cool Whip just not quite as dense.

Off Flavors

A lingering aftertaste and overly sweet.

Position In The Recipe

Maybe it will work well to accent other creams, could also work in a cream base.

Pairings

Other creams, fruits, bakeries such as cookie, and a little vanilla would definitely Pump It Up.

Notes

Not my favorite whip cream I feel flavor West offering was much better.

Rating 50/100

I actually use this in my key lime custard recipe. It gives the exhale the perfect finish.

I use whipped cream, buy i honestly can't tell when it's in a recipe. I get barely anything from it
