I diluted my flavorless max VG at 7.5% with distilled water. It seems a bit on the runny side but it vapes great. I have only ever used max VG so I don't know what high PG liquid is like for comparison. Is 7.5% too high or are there any recommendations besides the ol' 5-10% I see everywhere online? I started at 10% (probably should have started at 5) then mixed it down to 7.5 because it really seemed too runny at 10.
If 7.5% works for you and you like the vape, then it's not too high. You can always try more or less water in the future, but it's a personal thing so just use whatever you prefer.

No safety concerns. More water can make juice harsh and mute the flavor, but that's about it. Just out of curiosity, why no PG? Unless you're using PG-free flavorings, everything you make is going to have it anyway. It's also a better flavor carrier than water, so it won't mute flavors.
I don't intend to make flavored juices mostly to keep my coils in better shape for longer. Also to avoid the stress of researching flavor ingredients and health concerns. I don't use PG because I enjoy the flavorless enough so I don't need a flavor carrier. Plus if I get the urge for flavor I have a few bottles of Kind juice for my RDA. Who knows, I may get into flavorings if I become comfortable using PG. I'm a bit paranoid about it to be honest.

Anyway, I was staying with the 2 to 3 drops per VG ml used. I only use the lazy person's mini RBA or clearomizers like the Goliath II, Kanger Subtank, or Aspire Atlantis. With my mixes being all VG with 2% or 5% flavor, none of them can provide non-stop chain vaping without wicking issues.
I will now try more distilled water and see what happens. Wow. I hadn't looked for or seen and posts that discussed the ratio for months and months. OP, thanks for asking a good question.
With this mix in my Griffin 25 RTA (highly recommended RTA, btw) I can chain vape like crazy. I can also take 5 puffs or more with the .3ohm occ head in the UD Zephyrus. Waiting for it to wick doesn't take more than about 30 seconds either. I'm really digging this for those reasons. Soon I will try it in my nautilus mini w/ triton mini coils.
Hiya, thanks a ton! Can't wait to try. As soon as I use up the last of my Atlantis coils, I will be trying the Triton. Since I sometimes have to crawl under desks or go up ladders, I need a tank that is mostly 95% leak free. Every Aspire I have had has been really portable, but the Kanger tanks that work great aren't too portable due to seeping or leaking.
