He just handed me a box of bottles. I went ahead and cataloged them to see what was in there. I've never really used Flavor Art in any of my mixes, so it's going to be an interesting journey. If anyone has any tips or tricks on using Flavor Art, they are much appreciated.
Damn dude, he dropped a lot of good flavors on you! FA is a really good manufacturer and also quite potent. One of the best places to start with FA methinks is HiC's "My Notes On" where he describes in pretty vivid detail his flavor notes on FA products.
I will do a quick summary of his notes:
{Insert flavour name here} tastes exactly like the real thing! Not a candy or dried version, but delicious, fresh {insert flavour here}. Wow, FA have done it again, I cannot believe how much like {insert flavour here} it tastes, totally spot on. You will not be disappointed with {insert flavour here}.
Try all the flavors individually before you start using them in mixes. See the Modest Monday post on this topic. Most FA flavors tend to be a little more potent than TFA and CAP. They'll be quite noticeable in most mixes at 1%, sometimes less, and work as a standalone or main flavor in a mix at 3-4%. But there are exceptions (usually those exceptions are more concentrated, not less) so be sure to look around here first and see what % others are using them at.
Personal opinion, taste is subjective, people have told me they like it, etc etc yada yada, you can go ahead and toss that FA Pineapple right into the garbage.
If you want to extend this collection, would recommend buying a milk or cream flavour. You can have a load of milkshake flavours made up pretty easily.
Flavour Art is nice. My advice is to start low. I don't use any of their stuff over 2%
I bet that Black berry bottle is still full lol!
