Setup:Velocity RDA; dual Claptons @ .22Ω; cotton wicks; 60W
Testing: FLV Mango @ 5%; Aged: 1 day (1 hour on heat then left overnight)
Flavor description: Mango (duh)- but one perfectly sweet and at the perfect ripeness. Not bitter as if under ripe nor too sweet as if overripe. Some background notes of pineapple, tart apple, and strawberry. *Edit: also picking up just a slight hint of oranges.
Off-flavors: None.
Throat hit: slight.
Uses: Excellent single-flavor shake-n-vape. Could be the main note in a tropical mix, or provide an interesting top note to a berry mix.
Pairings - Tropical fruits; berries; creams.
Notes: I've been too busy to do much tinkering lately, so when I finally had some time last night I spent it making tasting samples of some new flavors that have come in over the past few weeks. This was one of the first I tried this morning, and it put a halt to my tasting process. I'm nearly through my 10ml sample bottle and just mixed up a 50 (I wanted just a little more potency, so I mixed this at 6%). This flavor is just absolutely delicious all by itself.
Rating: 5/5 stars.
> Off-flavors: None.

Almost every mixing session of mine for a long time has included at least one attempt at the perfect mango flavor, a franken-mango aimed at exploiting the best aspects of the mango flavorings I have and minimizing their annoying off-notes. I've been calling it "[Screw You Flavor Manufacturers I'll Make My Own] Muthafukin Mango." Because I'm pretty sure than no one at TFA, CAP, FA, INW, or HS has ever actually eaten a mango.
The Super Concentrates folks clearly know what a mango is supposed to taste like, but something is wrong with that one, as the glorious mango-y goodness in it as a shake-and-vape fades insanely fast, like 48 hours and all those gorgeous bright, sharp top notes are barely there, probably something to do with some teeny tiny molecules and extra volatile volatiles and maybe some alcohol and other stuff I don't know anything about.
You've given me high hopes that FLV will finally end this obsessive quest, but I've also been let down seven times already by six different companies. Can you please update in a couple of days and let me know whether your 50 has lost much of its flavor or taken on any weird off-notes?

Just wanted to make sure you guys saw this review.
I doubt the 50 will last that long TBH. I'll mix up another one so I can compare fresh vs aged.
As to off-flavors- my palate is probably not the most refined one around here, but there is nothing about this flavor I don't like.
Full disclosure: I am extremely sensitive to cyanide, so I can't eat stone fruits like cherries & peaches, or rose-family fruits like apples, when they are fresh. Fresh mangos have low levels of cyanide, so I can tolerate a small slice or use as a component of salsa or in a dish, but I can't eat a whole fresh mango.
Anyway, I hope this one ends your quest. I've vaped it for less than a day, and it's already on my "order more" list.
Either way, I'm going to order it and see for myself, but it would such a relief to hear more about how my prolonged mango mission might finally be drawing to a close. It would even be something of a bittersweet relief hear it didn't age beautifully, so I wouldn't expect too much from it and wouldn't be quite so let down when it gets here. Your disclosure already cooled my excitement a bit, of course I'd rather be advised "no off notes" by another full-on mango lover. As someone who eats a whole fresh mango at least once a week, I'm sorry for your cyanide-related loss. Anyway, I'm glad you found a flavor you like 100%, and thank you very much in advance for making another batch to see how it holds up.
Finally got mine today and mixed some up at 5%. Tried it in a Velocity Mini at 30w on a Clapton. It's good, quite good; likely my favorite of all I've tried. But, it unfortunately wasn't the miracle, single flavor mango to end my quest for the perfect mango. Still not sure which other mangos/fruits I want to try mixing with it to get there yet... Damn.
Is the flv mango worth it? I might order some if you think so.
YES, absolutely! I was blown away by how great it is as a standalone mango flavor. Wonderfully sweet and juicy, not perfumy or dry or weird at all. However, I've had some disappointments with it in mixing, in that I've found it still needs some help from other mangoes and it's not exactly the great mango savior I'd hoped it would be. There are nuances in it as a standalone that are just too easily covered up by other flavors, that's the problem. It seems to have all the the right elements of a perfect mango flavor, but those elements aren't balanced properly, and that shows up more in a mix than it does by itself.
So yes, buy it now. But just don't expect too much from it and you might not be let down. Standalone surprisingly present at just 1%... I like it best at 4%... Kirkt calls it an ADV at 6% and I agree that is a very pleasant flavor, but once you get that high the imbalance (too much bright citrusy high notes, not enough earthy middle and creamy low notes) becomes more noticeable.
Here are a couple of recipes using it:

I recently got FLV Mango as well. And your notes are spot on, as is this flavor. It's one of the better mango flavors I've tried. It falls somewhere between a fresh, ripe mango and mango nectar. I did a little playing around and mixed it with FA Coconut and a touch of FLV Lemongrass...it's pretty fuckin good. And the mango holds up very well to both of these potent flavors. And it ages very well.
Looking forward to trying out more recipes with it. But like you said, it's a great standalone shake and vape!
I mixed it up with the hops flavor earlier today but haven't tasted yet. Might try it here in few. Have you tested the pralines one yet or mixed it up. It tasted pretty good. I think these new flavors will be some good one's. I'll try and post tasting notes on pralines in a bit.
I have some pralines steeping. Standalone 3%. Tasted a little off as a shake and vape. I have hops steeping as well..the hops is....um...weird. It has a bug spray thing going on.
I mixed the pralines up at 3% 80/20 and as shake and vape i got almond with a hint of chocolate and something else. Im going to mix another at 5% tonight and let them both steep couple day's. Need to order more 10ml bottles again for testing. I had thought the pralines and creme de menthe would be good together.
This is now #1 on my next order list. I've been struggling along with ID10-t, cheeba, and nicobreak to find the perfect Mango. As of now I've gotten the closest with this mix:
CAP Sweet Mango 4%
FA Philippine Mango 3%
INW Mango 0.5%
TFA Dragonfruit 0.5%
It still needs improvement, but it's better than any one single flavor so far. Really looking forward to Flavorah's take on the Mang-Ohhhh!
Where can I find Flavorah Mango? It's not on any of the usual DIY sites.
It hasn't been released yet. Some of the mixers who post flavor notes, recipes and reviews, are rewarded with samples of new flavors.
Which is some bullshit because I should have more samples from them(Like this new batch of new flavours! I want this mango & the praline) The only time I've ever gotten flv samples was right after I finally got wholesale status 3 months ago, & I've been giving them reviews/recipes for well over a year, now.
