I ordered 50lbs of VG from bulk apothecary thinking it would just be delivered in 5 1-gallon bottles similar to the glycube. It's in a massive bucket. Any easy way to fill 1 liter bottles with this massive bucket? Thanks for any help.
Seems like a funnel would be the appropriate answer here.
/u/bluedotvapors will tell you a fun story about how they do it.
And then you will cry.
At this point it's a pallet of 4 - 55 gallon drums (2200lbs IIRC) and a fork lift. The electric drum pumps feed tubes into the clean room with a nice little handle, sort of like a gas pump. That gets pumped into 10 gallon mixing vats with a drain at the bottom. Life is much easier now.
If you're confident the bucket can be tipped and poured easily, I'd say use a funnel. Or just get a giant turkey baster.
Yeah, I'll just funnel it into some empty gallon bottles I have left. A funnel truly didn't cross my mind when I made this post.
Also, put the bucket in a hot bathtub for a bit to make it less viscous. You'll thank me later.
Also, you might wanna use that tub to do the pouring to catch and spills. Just saying.
Homebrewing buckets often have a spigot on the bottom and a capacity of about 6-7 gallons. You could pour into one of those and then fill smaller bottles from the spigot.
Dunno what they go for in the US - probably $10-20 at a guess.

Pour VG into bucket and use above to fill whatever.
Yup. Break the funnel out. I just painted the top of my engine, so I'd like to not get engine oil all over it; hence why I use a funnel for motor oil.
gotta use a funnel on my Kawi ZX6R, engineering gurus decided to put the oil intake at a slight angle. makes pouring sans funnel a dicy proposition.
Don't bother with pumps, they break so easily with VG.

I was told to get that by another DIY'er, works perfect.
And pour with the bucket on it's side and start with the spout at the TOP. Gives you control, you can roll it side to side to start and stop flow.
Not aure how well sythoning it will work. Maybe with a good hard initial suck it will work? I've never tried to shift such a large amount of vg, but have had problems using funnels in smaller bottles due to how thick it is.

Skip ahead for a 5 gallon bucket.
Put it on it's side and roll it, assuming it has a cap in the lid.
