Nude Nicotine confusion: SOLVED
submitted about 9 years ago by BiggieSmallsEyeball

In a recent post I claimed that I had received VG based nicotine when I ordered PG based nic. I was advised to send them a message to send me a 'correct' order, but out of laziness or out of 'shit happens, I'll make it work', I didnt.

Today I get a message from Jake from NN

"Hey there! Was doing a search through the Reddit this evening and came across your thread. Glad we saw it on the filter - didn't get a username link to chime in.

Send me your order # here so I can rush a replacement and a nice care package :) Stuff like this never looks good on us. Been EXTREMELY swamped and having to slow down the shipping line to keep the error rate low and focus high.

Let's make sure to get you the correct base immediately!!!! Sending good vibes your way :) Best regards, Jake CEO, lead chemist - NN (858) 216-2044"

To which I responded

"Thank you for reaching out! I actually have to delete my post, it slipped my mind. After getting my package (of PG based nicotine) from NN I put it in the freezer and when I opened it a few days later I immediately noticed the liquid inside had a VG consistency. I've ordered PG based nicotine from you and others and have never once noticed that consistency. After 'thawing' and refreezing after use, its held its PG consistency, its undoubtedly PG. I'm going to post this as well to clear things up.

Again, thank you and I appreciate you reaching out to resolve this."

I just wanted to put this out there so they don't have a negative strike from me, or for my confusion to contribute to giving a company a bad name.

Wait, so you took your pg nic right out of the freezer, shook it a bit, thought to yourself that it looked a little thick and wondered if it was vg instead? It didn't occur to you that maybe the pg nic was a little more viscous because it was near freezing temperature?

Yes, that is exactly what he is saying.

And he's owning up to his fuckup by posting this.

I mean that's good and all, but it just seems like everyone is in a rush to bag on nude. I've never had a problem with their product and I'm not defending their lack of customer service lately, but come on people let's use a little common sense before we post things like op's previous post.

I've never had a problem with their product. Just shipping errors and slow shipping times. The nic and nude armor bottles are always top notch

I'm on my second bottle of Nude Armor. Nic is clean and their shipping was as to be expected, about 1.5 weeks.

I've learned to order nicotine before getting dangerously low on supply. Nps.

Faithful NN customer here.

If I was going to read into things, I'd say that people are anticipating a shakeout among the vape half-steppers and so are hypervigilant against any problems.

>I've never had a problem with their product

Somehow this doesn't justify saying "everyone's in a rush to bag on NN". Some do have problems, others don't. It's all hunky dory until you wait 2 weeks to get your package and it's fucked somehow. This specific case is different obviously but there's plenty of other cases where it was legitimately NN's fault. Now I'm not saying other companies don't screw up, but to insinuate (not necessarily you doing this, but it's bordering the line) that NN should get a free pass when they screw up just because YOU haven't had an issue before isn't helping anyone.

Companies need criticism in order to fix legit issues with their service.

I love NN, and Jake seems like a great guy.

Kudos to you for not taking advantage.

I placed an order 2 weeks ago and still haven't received it. When it finally shipped, it went to a completely different address in a different state. I got a call also this weekend from someone from the company telling me sorry about the mishap and we'll send a replacement. Still waiting for the next one to ship out of CA. This company is still a joke.

Just fyi, you got them another customer because you were honest, and they were decent. Good on you OP.

Upvoted so hopefully this gets more visibility. I'm not a fanboy, but that's totally how Jake would handle things like this.

Seems like an important detail that NN should have been able to detect. How many other products do they ship out that are incorrect? I bet it's higher than the average. Would love to see video of his facility.

It's not a detail because it didn't happen. I misunderstood. They did everything fine.

I like their product but the wait is horrible. I have 6 people waiting on juice 3 of which require a 5-7 day steep. Ordered a 120 of 100mg 100%vg on the 19th. On the 23rd I got the formulated and packing email not a word since. I know it hasn't left CA. The best case scenario, it gets sent out tomorrow and I wont see it until Monday. All the while leaving my 6 peeps juiceless. Not good considering these are new buyers and Ive only been DIYing 6 months. Anyway Ive only used Nudes Nic and I don't want to change that as I get my acids and sweeteners from them also. But come on a garage mixer shouldn't have to order supplies a month in advance Should I?

I'm of the opinion that your customers shouldn't let their supplies get so low that they actually wind up juiceless while you're waiting on an order to be fulfilled. I always make sure I have everything I need and order in advance so that I never run out.

We all know what they say about opinions. I love how people just insist on arrogance and avoid addressing the topic. Deal is nothing should take 3 weeks in the e-liquid biz. However, big props to Nude for sending me shipment confirmation 46 minutes after my post. 2:43am

You don't need the nic in the Juice to steep it just so you know, so you can mix up everything accordingly and just add the nic in after you get it.

A few thoughts on this:
A) better planning
B) larger order size
C) moving out of the garage

I do....in fact I ordered a new liter when my current supply hit 100ml left. And I will highly recommend Vape Clarity. I ordered on a Friday morning, received Monday afternoon. Titrated to 101mg on 2 separate tests.

I've never had any issues with Nude Nicotine and sometimes order under an anonymous name to a different state to test them out (like I do with every vendor I like, actually). Most recent orders came a day earlier than I expected and probably 2-3 days ahead of their committed dates on the website.

Out of many orders, I've only had two problems: one was USPS who drop kicked the box 50 times and one glass vial broke (no big deal for me) and another problem was USPS deciding to take a box on a wrong way trip. Neither NN's fault.

Love their concentrates and don't mind their nic.

Do you air-out their concentrates before using? They use ethyl-alcohol and that gives a crazy-harshness for me. The flavors smell heavenly, but are way too rough on my throat.

Never had an issue with harshness from the ethyl alcohol at all. I don't air their concentrates out -- on some rare occasions I mix with controlled heat but not because of their concentrates specifically.

Are you SURE it's their concentrates and not you using too much or something else in the mix?

I use very, very low percentages... like for their Very Berry, I've been using it at 1-1.5%, even after a 2-day breathing (breathing the concentrate, not the mix). It's much better after the airing-out, but before then, it actually felt like there was too much citric acid or something. I've had the same experience with their Banana Cream Pie and Boysenberry Jam. All of their concentrates smell absolutely wonderful, but I found that without letting the alcohol evaporate, the mix becomes really rough, even using very low percentages.
