Hi guys,
I know, I opened a thread saying I was flying to China a month ago. But some unexpected visa issues came up. So while my future employer is sorting it out, I still have some time to mess around with my flavours.
With that said, please keep in mind that this is a discussion, not a recipe. I was hoping we could put our collective thinking caps on and see what we come up with.
Recently I stumbled across this, which is essentially my favourite childhood candy. For those who have never heard of this, it's a chewy type Chinese milk candy with edible paper wrapping that melts in your mouth.
There was a scare a couple years back about some harmful cancer-inducing chemicals used in the candy. I'm certain it's still there so I'm trying to cut back. Plus all those calories are bad for the waist.
But who said anything about vaping it right?
A quick search indicates that these are the ingredients inside:
> Liquid maltose, white granulated sugar, sweetened condensed milk, whole milk powder, butter, food additives (gelatin, vanilin), edible glutinous rice paper (corn starch).
And based on the findings, I think one or more of the following will suffice as a starting point:
- TFA Vanillin
- FA Condensed Milk (very small amount)
- TFA/CAP Butter
- FW Caramel Candy
- TFA Coconut Candy
- FA Meringue
Has anyone tried pursuing this? I would like some input before my chase for it turns from white rabbit to white whale.
I have nothing to contribute to the recipe but I am stupid excited to see someone trying to capture that flavor. It's one of my favorite candies ever.
Yeah, it's awesome. I'm going to get started on it once I figure out the condensed milk portion. Maybe a mixture of sweet cream, dairy, a touch of custard and vanillin might do it...

Since maltose is an ingredient, you may want to consider making TFA's Malted Milk a part of the recipe.
I've never had white rabbit candies but this clone of Alice in vapeland white rabbit might be similar based on the profile. *disclaimer I haven't mixed this juice

I tried these for the first time ever a few months ago. They're really good!
I think you're on the right track. I think the real key here is getting the sweet cream flavor with a very, very subtle vanilla. They're kind of a light delicate flavor in my experience. I think TFA Marshmallow is gonna be a big building block, along with some Sweet Cream or Sweet Coconut to bring up the creaminess.
I was thinking CAP Butter Cream CAP Sweet Cream TFA Dairy/Milk EM TFA Vanillin maybe some other vanilla I cant think of atm and don't ask percentages I'm just batting a recipe from the top of my head. Also grew up eating these so seeing a juice that tastes exactly like it would be pretty dope.
