Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:
- /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
- This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.
Happy Mixing!
So I amassed quite the selection for flavours. http://i.imgur.com/CcnNZ0B.png (Yellow is TPA, red is FA, blue INW and green CAP)
I really wanted to like so many of them, and the mixes I got them for sounded promising, but I finally came to terms with myself and just accepted the fact that my palate is beyond messed up.
I can't taste strawberry. Anything with custard notes, especially when it has CAP Vanilla Custard in it tastes the same to me, no matter how many other flavors are in there. Vanillas kind of taste off to me. And mixes with bakery flavours just as INW biscuit or FA applepie just taste slightly bready, that's it. Also, picking up low flavour percentages seems to be impossible, that's why I love strong flavors like INW at slightly higher concentrations.
So right now, all that is left is fruit. The first recipe I tried, botboys Dreamwalker, is still my favourite to this day, though I can't pick up any of the strawberry, unfortunately.
Probably my favourite single flavour mixes are FA Fuji at 4-5% and INW Bahraini Apple at 2-3%.
After giving up on the custards, vanillas, deserts and bakeries, I do hope that someone can recommend me some nice recipes containing the flavours I have at hand, because most newer fruit recipes on here usually call for either stuff I don't have or can't get my hands on.
Sorry for the wall of text.
TL;DR: have terrible sense of taste, only fruit flavors (minus strawberry) seem to work well.
Have you tried Mixing some apples together and adding a bit of anise, however I think Bahrain apple concentrates might have some already. Not sure which ones would work since I'm still new and I have yet to try an apple. The popular double apple shishas were a great hit. Try some minty recipes, something simple like Lemon mint, watermelon mint, straight up mint mixes.
/u/Vurve's Best Damn Pink Lemonade is pretty damn good, but the citrus (for me) is a bit much on the throat.
/u/fizzmustard's Nana Cream Clone without the Citric is good. ELR has people using TPA's instead of LA and liking it. It's pretty damn good and I've hated any commercial juice with banana until I tried this. However LA from places like Bulkbarn has food coloring so I've been a bit apprehensive in making more. Some DIY places have it in clear.
Fresh's Addy's Yogurt is delicious as well, but it requires Greek Yogurt which you dont seem to have, and a lot of people think tastes like socks. However your palate seems "off" so you might love this like I do.
Have you tried just mixing strawberry? What does it taste like? I don't really ever pull out strawberry in anything I mix, but I can taste something when it's just strawberry. Going to go back and test stuff without it and see what happens. Either way mixes I make with strawberry (Fizz's mixes, Waynes SCC Remix, etc) still taste great.
Sorry I can't give actual recipes, not well versed in a variety of mixing percentages and flavours.
TLDR: Try minty fruits, fruits with spice, straight up mints, lemonade styles.
It's hard to suggest %'s because based on your description of your jacked up taste buds they'd probably be too low, but I'm happy to suggest some combinations for you:
TFA Pear + FA Pear + FA Fuji Apple (Nashi Pear)
FA Fuji Apple + FA Kiwi
FA Fuji Apple + FA Watermelon
TFA Watermelon + FA Watermelon + FA Lemon Sicily (Watermelon Lemonade!)
FA Fuji Apple + FA Lime Cold-Pressed (Tahitian Apple)
FA Cola + FA Lime Distilled (Lime Coke)
TFA Watermelon + FA Watermelon + INW Cactus (Juicy Watermelon)
I'd try something with INW's strawberries (mainly shisha, though the regular one is good 2), MF strawberry, or potentially FLV Strawberry for strawberries that pop out and are pretty easy to taste. if you can't taste strawberry very well I'd also recommend buying some strawberries and just eating them IRL to help refresh your palate and idea of what your looking for. I've also personally been trying some strawberry flavored stuff like flavored water, yogurt, smoothies, milk etc. It can help give you a picture of the type of notes you're looking for.
I have three of the INW strawberries and can taste neither of them, among the FA and TFA strawberries. All I get is the slightly sweet taste from the VG. Can't get my hand on anything other than the companies I listed, so no FLV or MF for me. The thing that's annoying me the most is that I can taste the strawberry perfectly fine when I say, drip some mixed Juice on my tongue. With Shisha strawberry at 3%, it tastes like those little candy strawberries from Haribo, lol.
Oh well, thank you for the suggestions, but I guess I have to deal with it.
So getting ready to try my first home brew juice. I went with an assortment of fruit flavors, and with what I have do you all have any suggestions?
I went with: Strawberry Ripe - TFA Blueberry Wild - TFA Acai - TFA Apple Tart - TFA Dragonfruit - TFA Bavarian Cream - TFA
I was thinking of starting out with a blueberry/dragonfruit/barvarian cream mix, but I'm open to suggestions!
You could try a simple strawberries & cream recipe with what you have. This should be pretty tasty:
5% TFA Strawberry Ripe
1% TFA Dragonfruit
3% TFA Bavarian Cream
Unfortunately I don't have much experience with the other flavours you have.
I have TFA Bavarian Cream, Strawberry(Ripe), Vanilla Swirl, Dragonfruit, and LA Banana Cream. I know its limited haha but any suggestions would be cool. Vaped Just TFA Strawberry for a while at like 6%, and now I make the nana cream clone and a sucker punch clone. Any other suggestions?
Hey all, Looking to get a nice Vanilla Cream Base i can make a big batch off and let steep for a few weeks/months for future recipes,
Heres my flavours http://screenshotuploader.com/i/1605/6ju8d.png
Any help would be great, if i could also have it in ml/grams please as well as %, Thank You :D
I don't think steeping really works the way you appear to want it to; the vanilla cream will still need just as much time to mingle with whatever you mix it with regardless of whether you have pre-mixed some vanilla and creamy concentrates together weeks to months in advance. However, the extra time the creams spent combined with each other could create some awesome, unique flavors, if that's what you're going for.
lol, Worth a try, Just thought i could steep a cream base then just add Strawberry/Chocolate/Banana or whatever at a later date.
Of course you CAN do that. And it can be a time saver when mixing to have your preferred cream base already mixed. But it's not going to be a steeping time saver, as your cream base is still going to need just as much time to homogenize with your other ingredients. I don't do a cream base because I like adjusting the amounts of the various creams depending on what I'm mixing them with and what I'm going for, but you can google "site:reddit.com/r/diy_ejuice creamstone" for information from people how have enjoyed using cream bases.
Can you gimme an hand to create cool stuff?

I dare to get something nice done with Orange Creme/Orange Mandarine/Grapefruit or with Cpt. Crunch/Oatmeal Cookie.
Suggestions highly appreciated.
Have you tried all of these flavors by themselves yet?
Some, but not yet all of them – but thanks for pointing out to the Modest Monday post.
It looks like you have the flavors to put together a nice orange creamsicle-type recipe, but a couple of them are flavors I haven't tried so I don't want to suggest something and have the flavors or %'s wrong. But if you've tried them all and made notes about them, you should have a pretty decent feel for which ones to use and how much to use. Here's a recipe you can use for inspiration and you can search for others. You'd have to substitute some flavors for any of them, I think, but with a little trial-and-error, you might come up with a great one. You mentioned wanting to get something nice done with grapefruit, you might add just a tiny bit of grapefruit to an orange creamsicle to make a more interesting citrus flavor than just flat orange.
Im about to embark on the DIY EJuice journe7y. This is the flavour line up plus i have the vg/pg/nic/and glass bottles. Flavor and nic are from liquid barn and flavors are vg based. Just looking for any flavour combo recomendations with what i have. Flavors are;
