How long will my liquid keep if I make a large amount?
submitted over 9 years ago by eood

Hey all,

I'm about to go travelling for 2 months (in a campervan, no planes)

I'd like to mix all my juice before I go. I have 12x50ml bottles and about 20x 10ml bottles.

If I mix all of this up, will it keep for ~2months fine?

Most of my concentrates are TFA.

Thanks :)

It will holdout fine for 2 months. Just beware of heat and direct sunlight. As long as you store it properly juice should be fine for 1 year or maybe more.

Thank you! Will be nice not to worry about running out with it all mixed and ready to use :)

I mix in batches of 470ml, and usually one or two flavors at a time. I store them in amber boston round bottles, tucked away in a kitchen cabinet. I've vaped a mix that was as old as 8 months, and it was great.

Here are the bottles I use.

Shouldn't be a problem

Last month, I vaped several bottles of juice I had made in 2014. It was fine. =)

2 months will be fine. If you want to be extra careful, or the juice will get hot, grab some wine saver (argon gas) to top your bottles off with. It will halt the oxidation and they should last for a year or more.

In a closed up camper van, heat is going to be your enemy. If you have the room, stick it in the fridge. It will keep for a lot longer with turning bad on you.

I personally use a Make up bag my wife got for free when she spent 200+ on make up, I figure with the lining in it and the fact it was designed to keep make up from melting, it would serve as a great steeping/keeping bag for my juice. It's fantastic, has a nice handle on it and the most i've loaded into it was 20x30ml bottles with 5x10ml bottles and 2x100ml bottles. There's also 3x30ml glass skull bottles in there too lol.

EDIT: there's also slots on the flap of the bag, when you zipper it open, and flip the top up to access the contents, Which i use to house a few strands of cotton, tweezers, an extra rda with prebuilt coils, and two 18650 batteries in cases as well as my penny mod incase i bump into someone who would like to vape while chatting lol.

No air in the bottle six to eight months is not unheard I usually mix 5 to 6 200 mil batches of different flavors and of mine never lasted that long usually end up going through it within the first 2 months

I make batches that last me more than 6 months. The batch I'm finishing now was made in November. Most juices are just fine, if not even richer in flavor. 2 months is nothing. Have at it.

It'll be completely fine.

Some juices steep for one month. if kept in a dark place with a good seal on the cap, juice will last for at least 9 months.

By personal experience, 2 months looks good to me. You don't need to take too much special care, I believe. Keep only small amounts of liquid on hand (still closed, out of light and heat of course) and the rest nicely sealed in the refrigerator, and your liquids will be good as new.
