It's a sad thing that 8BitVape is in this position due to the TPD but they have been kind enough to release all of their recipes onto their DIY section - here's the link: https://8bitvape.co.uk/barf/newlayout/?p=flavdb&v=UserSearch&f=8BitVape
These recipes are shit.
Guys. This is not "premium" juice. 8BitVape always sold very affordable juice. Also, these are very old recipes in vaping-time. Stop being judgmental knobs. Don't be happy they had to shut down because it'll happen in the US too.
That's the way this sub is. They shit on everything that isn't 7+ flavorings with at least two being Inawera
Huh? There are plenty of recipes around here with very few ingredients that people really enjoy. Your exaggeration is a failed attempt at...humor? being a dingle berry? being mean? I don't know.
For example: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/4jc2yt/sassy_pants_my_first_post_and_recipe/
Or the monthly recipe threads that are stickied, they're full of simple recipes.
Is this for real? These recipes seem like a real let down. Some of them are just 20% of a flavor it seems like they mix themselves.
the secret ingredient in most premium juices that charge a buck a ml is just tons of sweetener so idk what you expected - as a US citizen i'm reading these like "whats cupcake world?"
Cupcake world is just a baking supplier place - plenty of DIY-ers will use baking flavouring for their recipes - we have a place called Baker's Bin that does some decent flavours as well. Generally they are not quite as concentrated as TFA etc. - hence the higher percentages
I'm assuming it's legit. The message on their homepage says:
"We have released our entire database of mixes from our old site for DIY mixers to make themselves along with guides and tools to help you beet the TPD and save yourself money"
So I searched the DB and found the ones posted by 8BitVape.
On my second visit everything is different. The first time I went, all recipes on the front page were either CAP or TFA @ 20%, or a proprietary mix of theirs at a certain percent. Now the top recipes are all actual recipes, sort of like ELR.
I must have misunderstood, I thought this was a juice company that is going out of business and releasing their company recipes. It seems more like a recipe site that is no longer private. Either way, I see some decent recipes on here but I'm not really familiar with some of the flavor companies.
Theres no difference between top shelf and bottom shelf. Same pg, same vg, of course nic quality can differ, but theres no magic they are nto sitting there extracting flavors from strawberries or something.
Some flavors are simple, thats all you need for a simple vape. I prefer more complex flavors usually I need a few layered.
That's why I laugh when I see clone recipes where they have 8 different flavors with some at .1 or .2%. They may get close to taste but the real recipe is most likely 1-3 flavors at easy whole number percentages. I'd even say chances are it is a few flavors at 5% with maybe 1 other a bit lower from what I've seen released. I'm sure there are a lot of complex crazy recipes from vendors out there but a lot are very simple too.
I think it was fizzmustard(?) that made the nana cream clone from 3 flavors that lots of people thought was great. I just looked at another random clone and it has 9 flavors and 7 of them are between 0.1 and 0.2.
I like how some of them are just 20% 8bitvape recipe.
And wow, 20% Sweet Strawberry.
Yeah I was a bit bummed when I saw some of the recipes seem to use their own concentrates. I wanted to give Roswell 47 a try but they don't appear to sell their own concentrates. Also it looks like not quite all of their recipes are up, at least not yet.
This reminds me of that time when Adirondack released a recipe with 7% TFA Coconut Extra and 7% TFA Acai. Yeah... no.
Noooooo I just used 1.5% Coconut Extra in a recipe and it ruined it. That's even with some FA flavorings in there too. I actually posted it in the Monthly thread, I need to go edit it because 1.5% is way too much. As a shake and vape it didn't seem so, but 2 days later, disgusting.
That moment when you realize everything you post is better than the premium company, with undeniable proof
And I don't mean me. I mean everyone on this amazing subreddit.
Here's the link to their user-created ejuice database as well.
I only ever bought a bottle of tropical space pirate and yes it was harsh and disgusting, now I see why, shitty cheap bakery flavourings. I'll stick to trying the advanced and tested recipes this great sub has to offer!
Id be interested to see these juices remade with known quality flavorings, first in the same % and then altered % to get a good flavor.
I got nothing...Cupcake World? What in the actual fuck?
Lol what a joke. Single flavour mixes being sold as deluxe. I'm glad this shitty company shut down.
