Tiramisu FA
submitted over 9 years ago by Chrisdvr1

RDA / velocity

% Used/2.5 coil/ Clapton w/ 55

Steep time- 2 weeks wicking/full

Mouth Feel - dense and creamy heavy on the tongue with no throat hit

Flavor Properties- super rich espresso coffee flavor with a hint of cream and just a wisp of the lady finger cake flavor you expect in a tiramisu

Relatable Flavors - like eating a roasted expresso bean

Off Flavors - as with most coffees getting a slightly skunky flavor

Position in the recipe - should be a fairly good top note may be quite difficult to work into the background but Maybe possible lower percentages

Pairings- vanilla and cream should do nicely to complete the tiramisu experience I believe good cake or cookie would definitely help, some boozy flavors like TFA Kentucky bourbon or fa Jamaican rum should help give it some warmth

Wasn't too harsh of 2.5 percent but getting through the testing process it was rough

Wow. I cant even imagine 2.5%. 0.5 is about as high as I can go. I wouldn't call it harsh. More... overwhelming. I fully expected it to turn my teeth black.

You know what 2.5 I could add nicotine and just Vape it it's definitely not the worst coffee flavor I've had tfa's Carmel expresso Takes the Cake

Great notes!

I'm still super sensitive to the skunky coffee flavor though and just can't get past it.

I found a super long steep sometimes 2 or 3 months really Mellows it out I've had good coffee flavors when I was paying for juice Been thinking of doing as the sidebar suggested and making my own coffee flavoring

Don't do it!!!

It never ends well. Chest tightness, heart palpitations, incredible harsh throat hit

The problem is the oils and dirt on coffee beans. You need to find a way to remove all oils before doing your extraction. Even a low temp baking of the beans would probably not get all the oil residue off and the dirt would remain. Lipid pneumonia is bad mmmmmkay

Thx 4 the heads up I wonder if an oil press would get rid of the oils totally unrelated was wondering the same thing about a nicotine CO2 extraction could you use a oil press to remove oil b4 extracting nicotine with CO2 just started to get into the deeper DIY subreddit the answer is probably in there somewhere
