8bitvape UK Shutting Down Due to TBD, Intends to Release Recipes for DIY'ers. (X-post ECR)

Sucks that this is happening but nice to see that they want to release their recipes for those of us who DIY. I personally get excited when vendors release recipes because it allows us to get a glimpse into their creative process and eliminates the allure behind "premium juices" for newer mixers.

Thanks for the follow-up. After looking through the recipes, I think I'll stick with the ones listed in this sub.

I wonder how the house of Lords developments affect that announcement.

(For those unaware, British house of Lords brought forth some kind of bill thing to stop the TPD being implemented in the UK. Obviously I'm a yank and much better versed in our legislative process, but this seemed to be very positive development for the UK)

Thanks for sharing - I'm a Brit who hadn't heard of this and really hoping it works. This shit is going to kill the vaping market or at very least make vapers suffer.

I think the us is watching the UK right now, I feel like if you guys can set the precedence maybe some of our senators will resist the horrible regs that are on this side of the pond. It may be a false hope but at least it's something l.

I'd love to see them sell DIY packages of individual ingredients with recipes for people to mix on their own.

I dont know the laws in the UK but the TPD itself only limits the amount of liquid sold to 10ml if the liquid contains nicotine. You could still sell Liquid with a doubler, like they do in australia. You basically get a Juice bottle thats not completly full and nicotine free, get a bottle full of unflavoured diluted nicotine and add this to your juice until you get the desired level.

But countries are free to make the restrictions more stricter and limit more things than that, I dont know if the UK is doing that. Hungary for example banned all flavourings in e juice alltogether, so you are only allowed to buy unflavoured liquid.

Here's the link to their user-created ejuice database. The link posted by /u/Ozbozz below will lead to 8BitVapes' commercial recipes.
