Let me tell you what guys.
The heat and humidity down here in Alabama is fucking brutal. With it already hitting 85*F highs, I wanted a vape that was super fresh, super cool, and super delicious. My attempt at cloning Watermelon Crack definitely had a huge inspiration on this recipe. (And I'm not done yet, just waiting to very get so I can order some flavors I need)
That said, I don't think this recipe will be everyone's cup of tea, but I urge you to try it if you like the overall profile.

Summer's 'Round the Corner - All The Flavors Recipe List
#The Base
-
Wild Melon FLV - I have a hard time nailing down exactly what this flavor is, but it's definitely melon. Most likely a mix of Honey Dew, Cantalope, and a hint of Watermelon. Very fresh and delicious. Not much texture. Just a smooth blend of natural tasting melons. A phenomenal starting point for a melon recipe.
-
Sweet Watermelon CAP - We are going to take that subtle hint of natural watermelon from the Wild Melon FLV and turn it up a few notches. It's very juicy and fresh, but still very candied. Probably the most candied flavor of all the watermelons. However, as /u/matthewkocanda mentioned on Monday's podcast, that is pretty much the taste you want out of watermelon. Real watermelon has a very light taste, and is more about mouth feel.
#The Background
-
Watermelon LA - This gives the us a slightly more full bodied and stronger candied watermelon flavor. It has a bit more body and gives the watermelon flavor a backbone in the recipe without going overboard.
-
Italian Cream HS - I wanted a cream to blend all the flavors together that was a little on the lighter side, but had some tang to it. I initially tried Greek Yogurt FLV, it being the lightest of the greek yogurts that I had on hand. It will still a tad too heavy and a tad too tangy. Italian Cream HS filled this roll perfectly though. The melons really come to life with that little bit of tang, without tasting like vomit like a lot of them do when they are tangy.
-
Cucumber CAP - Fresh. Wet. Perfectly compliments the melon flavor making it taste like a nice summer picnic. At 0.25%, we are perfect for imparting that freshness without getting the cucumber flavor. If you want the cucumber flavor, bump it up to 0.5-0.75%. If you don't like the earthiness the cucumber brings to the party, just leave it out. Then you'll just have a nice melon and mint vape.
#The Top Note
-
Cool Mint CAP - Breezy, minty freshness. It's a little on the sweet side like an Andes mint, which also helps make the melons come to life. The mint is still very present and exactly where you want it. It's the first thing you taste without being overpowering. This mint flavor also has a bit of Koolada, but not enough to achieve my end goal.
-
Koolada TFA - Usually, I don't consider this a requirement, but for that fresh, bite into a piece of melon on 4th of July freshness, it's a must. Luckily, I don't find that the Koolada interferes with the overall profile of the recipe as much as it does with my ice creams, so I don't mind kicking it up a few notches. I tried menthol. It's just too artificial and too minty.
#The Conclusion
A nice minty melon with a sprig of mint. Slight earthy and candy. It's super fucking smooth and vapes like a breath of fresh air.

I been following your work I just love how you do your notes it just fantastic, it helps me alot when I have a recipe that need a lil something, in this case cucumber sounds great for what I need. I already made the order gonna try this sounds great keep it that way and thank you
I dont have a single one of these flavors. However, if you have INW Cactus, I feel like .25% to .5% could be a good addition. But the Koolada and Cucumber might just have a similar effect to the Cactus. But what the hell do I know? Ive only been mixing for 2 months. lol
hurry up and get that W.C clone done lol if i have anything you need just ask vurve i bought huge order just to clone W.C no jungle juice though.
Haha! I'm working on it!!!
Had to wait till I got paid to put in my flavor order. I hope to have a new revision soon
Jungle juice is definitely one of the flavors I needed though, or so is the assumption
Need some of us to toss you some dough to fund the research? Let me know and I'm in
If you like the end result and want to donate as a thank you, I will use it to help fund future projects, and it would be very appreciated. 100% of it would go to buying new flavors, pg, vg.
However, I don't need any money to finish this one. My place of employment went through some changes which altered our pay schedule. I'm back on track now and ordered the flavors last night...i think. Might just need to click check-out.
This looks tasty, man! Thanks again for the work you do. I can't friggin wait for the next batch of ideas you have on watermelon crack.
Quick question: LA watermelon and LA colorless...same flavor?
LA used to put food coloring in their flavors. They were originally for baking.
Then they wised up and realized that their flavors were being used for vaping. Though I'm not certain of their official public stance on vaping, they did quite a few things to make their flavoring more accessible to us.
With that said, use the colorless. If you have an older bottle that's colored pink, it's from when they were still coloring the flavoring
They still make the food coloring/concentrate blends for candymaking, but the only places that really carry them are dedicated confectionery supply stores. Anywhere that's reselling for vape juice mixers will (hopefully) only stock the LA colorless line.
