I ate a blue raspberry jolly rancher for the first time in forever just a few minutes ago.
It was as if I made the candy myself, and use TFA Juicy Peach and INW Raspberry. I could SPECIFICALLY pick out the flavors and I have no doubt the volatiles in these concentrates are used in a blue raspberry jolly rancher.
It was a very weird experience.
I've been using Juicy Peach in my blue raspberry juices for awhile only because someone mentioned "it worked" and I liked the profile. I just don't eat candy much anymore so I never really compared.
My usual blue raspberry recipe is
4% FW Blueberry
6% TFA Juicy Peach
1% INW Raspberry
And it works pretty well. Although there was a recipe posted here awhile back that uses FLV Boysenberry, INW Raspberry and TFA Raspberry (Sweet), I'm going to try that too, and then maybe experiment with adding some Juicy Peach.
My main goal is to get a Blue Raspberry Icee (Fanta) flavor , and I know OSDIY makes the actual flavor, I've just yet to pick it up.
But I urge you all to go try a jolly rancher and tell me Juicy Peach isn't in there.
Do you find juicy peach to be too harsh? It burns and makes me wheeze even with no nicotine %. Really wish I liked the blue voodoo clone with TFA juicy peach/sweet raspbery/sweetener but I can't stand the harshness even after a week of steeping.
I recently tried Liquid Barn's blue raspberry at 5% with INW raspberry at .5% and it was spot on.
Damn missing the raspberry. Is it shake and vape?
I'd say so. So you have TFA Raspberry Sweet? At like 5% it may work.
I don't have either sadly. Which do you prefer though? Or maybe blue raspberry considering it is a blue raspberry rancher
A lot of blue raspberry flavors are no so great as standalone, and I don't think they'd work to well as the raspberry base. I'd just get INW Raspberry as, like I said, that is exactly what I taste when I out the jolly rancher in my mouth. TFA Raspberry Sweet is second best, but requires more flavoring.
Would TFA Blueberry Wild be a good substitute for FW Blueberry? If so, what %?
I have only tried TFA Blueberry Extra, and I'm not so sure how different they are. I'd try it at the same percentage though.
Would you use extra at 4% too?
Yeah, I'd try that to start. The Blueberry isn't actually necessary as "blue raspberry", from what I've been told, isn't actually Blueberry and raspberry, but an actual raspberry called a Whitebark Raspberry.
I think that's why Juicy Peach works so well. It accents the normal raspberry flavor and turns it into a truer blue raspberry. The blueberry I just add for extra flavor.
Try razzleberry, blueberry candy, hibiscus, and blue raspberry cotton candy. If anyone wants my blue raz recipe (I posted it a while ago and deleted my account) I'll share it. After 6 months I realized that the above flavors were perfect along ith peach and a few others.
I just whipped up a 15ml batch...it's good! I tweaked it, slightly.
4% Blueberry Extra (TFA)
6% Peach (TFA)
5% Raspberry, Sweet (TFA)
~0.4% [4 drops] Lemon Conc. (TFA)
It's a solid recipe. Nice and balanced. I added a few drops of lemon for a tad tartness/wetness. I'll probably mess around with it per my pallate, but I'm really diggin it as is! Cheers!
Any chance you could sub TFA for the non-TFA flavours?
You could try, TFA Blueberry extra at the same percentage. I've never tried Wild though so I'm unsure about it. Honestly the blueberry isn't entirely necessary. It just gives it some more sweet berry flavor. Blue Raspberry actually has nothing to do with blueberry lIke most people think.
You can try TFA Raspberry (Sweet) at like 5%. That may work.
Okay I give, what is INW? It's not in the side bar and I've seen plenty of people mention their flavors, but I've never been able to figure out what it's short for as there doesn't appear to be a flavor manufacturer that fits those initials...
Do you sell any? Id love to try some if it's good.
Wrong sub bro.
Really? I've seen people sell their homemade juices on here before. Does that just belong in the ecig classifieds subreddit?
I mean, fuck me for offering to buy someone's juice right? Bro...
