I ordered a few Real flavors from GremlinDIY and from the smell and hand taste I'm really impressed.
I've searched the sidebar but can't find the percentages I should start mixing these flavors at. Does anyone have any ideas on where I should start? TIA
I just heard about these and got the Banana Bread to try out- I like it alot- reminds me of Loranns Banana cream (without the yellow FC), coconut and walnut...Im going to order a few more- If you look on the RF site https://realflavors.com/, in the same section that tells you their test result on each flavor-there a section that says something like 'Range of Use'- Banana Bread was 5-8%...I went with 8...very nice-
Hey there, fancy seeing you in these parts! It's the guy who posted about RF in the group!
I generally start testing at 5%, but usually end up using then around 8-12%
Ok, that's a lil higher than I thought but that's ok. I'm just used to using FA,MF, and FLV.
I agree with /u/Vurve, i have around 50 of their flavorings and 8-12% is good for most. One of the exceptions is Cinn Toast, it is quite a bit more potent than the others, try it in the 3-5% range.
I havent started testing them with PG included in the mixes, so far i have done mostly single flavor tests in VG.
BTW, Bread Pudding (RF) is one of the best single mix flavors that i have ever tried. I do add a bit of Vanilla Custard (RF) to the mix but it isnt all that necessary.
I'm in the same boat. Just got my first RFs in but haven't had a lot of time for playing around lately. /u/abdada has some experience with them; IIRC he is targeting 5-10% to start.
That seems to be what the standard is. A lil higher than I thought but I think they are VG based.
I mixed cookies and cream at 11%. It is a little faint but good. I will go to 15%. I just made bread pudding at 15%. Will report after I try it.
Can't wait to try some RF flavours. Still waiting on UK venders receiving stock. Already got all the concentrates apart from cookies and cream needed for the recipe posted last week by /u/vurve
So i broke out some month old + Bread Pudding and Cinnamon Custard. Not sure what happened but both are a bit on the harsh side now. A couple others have noticed this too, with the Cinnamon Toast as well. Going to do some remixing and testing.
/u/vapingrammy You might want to hold off for just a bit on this.
I had this same experience with Bread Pudding. Tasted great at first. Burned myself out on it after a week. I put it aside. I made the batch on 4/21/16 I went back to it 3 days ago and it was quite harsh on my throat. Some of the original
