So this recipe is inspired by Blackout by /u/enyawreklaw. PB and banana is one of my favourite combos, I've mixed Blackout and added 4% of TFA Banana Cream but obviously it drowned in peanuts as the percentage for Peanut Butter in Blackout is pretty damn high.
I wanted a more creamy peanut butter vape with banana in it, a mix where I could taste both peanut butter and the banana at the same time equally. And thus Banana Butter was born:
Banana Butter | % :--|--: Banana Cream TFA| 5.5% Peanut Butter CAP| 4% Hazelnut TFA| 1% Acetyl Pyrazine TFA| 0.5% Caramel Original TFA| 1.5% Bavarian Cream TFA| 1.5% Toasted Marshmallow TFA| 2% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream TFA| 3% (optional) Ethyl Maltol| 0.5%
Banana Cream & Peanut Butter & Hazelnut - this is the base of this recipe. At these percentages Banana and Peanut Butter smash their foreheads against each other quite well to the point that they start making out. The banana is quite strong with this recipe, but Hazelnut helps to bring Peanut Butter forward a bit, as well as Acetyl Pyrazine. The banana also calms down a bit and becomes smoother with steeping as creams start to do their thing.
Caramel Original and Bavarian cream both bring some richness to the recipe while VBIC and Toasted Marshmallow are there for the creaminess. Toasted Marshmallow is sexy. It tastes like marshmallow with caramelized sugar. It is a great component and its flavor profile works extremely well in this recipe.
This recipe is rich yet smooth. You'll get a sweet creamy banana flavor on the exhale followed by peanutt butter with a nutty aftertaste that stays on your tongue for a bit. Recommended steeping time is one week. For the first couple of days the banana is too strong for my taste, it needs some time to blend in and mellow out.
Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy the recipe if you'll mix it. I also want to thank everyone in this community as I've leared everything thanks to this wonderful subreddit. Big up y'all!
Why Capella Peanut Butter? It tastes burnt at any percentage I use. TFA Peanut Butter or FW Peanut Butter would work better IMO.
Ah, I was ready for the spicy peanut butter controversy as I was writing this post. You can theoretically swap it for TFA, although no one who vaped it had any issues with burnt taste. It's creamy, nutty, but not burnt. Again, you can swap it easily though!
I'd say the same for TFA peanut butter. There's a deep rift in DIY between capella and TFA PB. I happen to think Capella's is the epitome of rich peanut creaminess.
I happen to think cap is the epitome of burnt popcorn. Never again. TFA is okay but gets harsh & burny if you don't shake it. Need new though as mine is nearing 2 years old. Just got INW Peanuts in, FLV peanut butter is coming tomorrow.
Okay, this is weird. The CAP PB that I have tastes exactly like peanuts, even when mixed solo at 8% it's quite good. Now, I live in Moscow and sometimes it's really hard to find some flavorings here and there's no guarantee that if a label on a 10ml bottle states that it's CAP Peanut Butter, it really is CAP Peanut Butter. Also, I ordered TFA PB from these guys but received CAP PB instead. Maybe it's actually TFA? Who knows! It smells and tastes great.
Looks excellent. Such a good combo, PB and nanners.
You ever play around with TPA Kentucky Bourbon? It's a cool flavor. But I especially love it with anything banana. But in the lowest % possible (like 1 or 2 drops in a 30ml). You don't taste bourbon, but it brings out the sweetness in the banana. It turns the runty banana candy into a more sophisticated, ripe banana (the ones that look like shit on the outside but are perfectly sweet when you peel 'em). I bet it would be a nice "seasoning" in this recipe.
As a matter of fact before that I wanted to make a recipe with banana drenched in caramel and I wanted to use a combination of caramel, brown sugar and bourbon. But I did not have Kemtucky Bourbon, I'm looking forward to get my sweaty hands on it ASAP.
I will also try to add it to this recipe, it sounds like it will fit nicely, thank you!
Anyone have any estimates of the diketone content of these flavors? I'd love to try this, I just don't want to vape through a huge batch of death juice if I don't have to.
death juice lmao some pople are just to lazy to research the information to deside if everything your told is true.and we wander why fda is all over our ass about vapeing with tearms like death juice being thrown around.im sry not trying to be a dick but we should watch what we say about the thing that saved alot of our lives.
