Sassy Pants. My First Post and Recipe.
submitted over 9 years ago by chrisnotes86

So first off, I would like to thank a TON of you guys for all that you contribute to the DIY community. Wayne, Skiddlz, Manson, Vurve, Coke Can, and Fizzmustard just to name a few. I have learned a lot and am starting to make some decent quality mixes as of late. For 1 year plus I was dumping random flavor concentrates into bottles and soon realized how important was to test my flavors individually while taking notes. Although My DIY was vapeable in the past, I feel like some of my recipes are finally worth sharing.

With Sassy Pants’s flavor profile I was trying to replicate a juice that I had a long time ago from a smaller juice company. It was tart, sweet, sour, punchy, juicy, vibrant. It’s a simple recipe but complex to the palate. I am sure you will like it, plus its great to vape on hot days or when you need a break from creams, desserts, and bakery.

Sassy Pants - A sweet and sour candy vape that packs a punch

  • 7 % Green Apple (CAP)
  • 3% Lemonade (FLV)
  • 0.4% EM (TFA)
  • 0.5-0.75 % Sucralose (optional)

(CAP) Green Apple- I really enjoy flavor. Overall I would have to say it’s more candy than authentic. Not a bad thing because it’s a clean, vibrant, green apple flavor. It has a sour tartness which lingers on the tip of the tongue. I would describe it as a brighter flavor with medium body. There is plenty of sweetness to balance it. I tried all of TPA’s green apple’s but this one is easiest for me to work with. I feel that it blends nicely with the FLV Lemonade and still shines as the main flavor note. My brother thinks the % is too high, however I think it makes the recipe pop and don’t consider it overbearing.

(FLV)Lemonade- The lemonade at this % is money. It tucks right up against the green apple and plays off it’s strengths. The lemon provides another zippy note and adds another layer of textured sweetness. FLV lemonade is overall a lighter, sweet lemonade with no bitterness detected. A match made in heaven.

(EM)- I put in a bit to bridge the gap between these two “brighter, poppy, tart” flavors. At this % it pulls the sour notes together and gives them a unified sweetness. Really rounds out the edges and is crucial in the recipe.

Sucralose- This is optional. I like the added sweetness and juiciness it brings to the recipe. It makes the flavor smack on your lips and goes nicely with the sour notes. It also makes it more of a candy flavor.

So there it is. Hope you like it!

I don't have either of these flavors, and the profile really doesn't interest me. However, it's nice to a see a simple 2 ingredient recipe get posted. I've been trying to keep mine to 4 flavors or less lately. Good work.

I have a friend that would really like this, however I only have FW & LA Lemonade, which would you recommend to sub? Never had FLV so I don't know which is closer.

LA Lemonade is pretty fantastic, I would say use that

I would call FLV Lemonade a sub for LA Lemonade.

FLV is good, but LA is better.

FW is a good one too, I would use at the same %.

I'm probably going to whip this up with LA Lemonade and FA Fuji. I've only really used Fuji as a booster, and this recipe seems heavy on the apple, anybody have suggestions on where to start with Fuji? The Lemonade I'll probably do at around 5-7%

I recommend 3-4% Fuji with 4-5% LA lemonade.
Edit: em might be necessary at 0.3-0.5%

I made it with 4% Fuji, and 5% Lemonade, and .5% EM, it's pretty delicious. Not sure how it compares with the original recipe, probably not as candy-like or sour, but its definitely a nice vape.

I have no idea how it would compare with the original either, but you mentioned what you had and I told you what I thought would be yummy. I better mix this up now!

The Green Apple at this high % because it needs to be sour, bold, and punchy for this recipe.

FLV Lemonade is absolutely awesome! I use it around 2.5-3% with 1% CAP Lemon Sicily.

Damn, I became obsessed with apple a few months ago and purchased like 8 different flavors but I never got that one. I can attest to the awesomeness of FLV Lemonade though.

FWIW, CAP Green apple and CAP Double apple mix brilliantly together at a 1:1 ratio. I do 5%/5% for a great sweet, well rounded, apple.

Looks pretty solid! Ty for the post =) I hope to see more from you in the future. I literally have neither of those flavorings but if I did I would mix it up and give some feedback!

I don't have the EM but am going to have to give this a try. You apparently really like sweet and strong so I'll cut the percentages to around to 2.5% / 2.8% total to better fit my palette but sounds promising. I have some Lemonade I haven't tried yet and green apple is one of my favorite flavors.

Sounds good! You really should be fine without the EM. I say that because the lemonade doesn't have any real harshness that some other citrus concentrates have, such as FA Lime CP. And cutting the % in half should also work decently. I usually don't vape candy, sour, fruity, tart type vapes….mostly bakery, creamy stuff, so when I switch it up I want these profiles to really knock my socks off in flavor. Though the total flavor % of the recipe is ONLY 10-11.5%. Just try it. Let me know!

This sounds like an orgy for my pallette. I can only imagine the taste but I think I'll enjoy mixing this. Thanks for sharing. RemindMe! 2 days
