Oreo cookies soaked in buttery, creamy vanilla bean ice cream
First things first, I know a lot of you probably aren't going to be able to make this recipe. However, in posting this, I hope to shed some light on some amazing flavor companies that don't get enough attention around here. Hangsen and Real Flavors. They are amazing companies that I hope you take the effort to seek out and buy. Their level of complexity and accurateness is unparalleled in almost everything they do. A worthy addition to any DIY mixer's nail polish rack.

#The Base
RF Cookies & Cream
Pretty much copy and pasting this from my other thread. Tastes exactly like crushed up oreos. It leans heavier towards the cookie. Chocolaty and crispy with a snap. Very dry. The cream flavor is very pleasant, but lacks the creamy mouth feel. Needs a cream to compliment it. Real Flavors are so good and complex, I'm not sure if I'm buying flavors, or premixed concentrates. Use between 8-12%.
TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
With the other creams we are going to be throwing in this recipe, 1.75% is perfect to hit that dense mouth feel that you want out of ice cream and that the RF Cookies and Cream is begging for. It's creamy. It's buttery. It's got vanilla bean. I've reviewed the flavor what feels like a few dozen times now. If you want to know more about it, just go search my post history.
#The Background
TFA Vanilla Swirl
We are going to back up the cream and vanilla with this flavor. It's super creamy without the butter notes we get in TFA VBIC. The vanilla is also a bit more mild. It goes a very good job of balancing the ice cream flavor since we want a lot of it, but TFA VBIC can easily overwhelm competing flavors by itself once you start going over 2%
FA Meringue
The perfect ice cream sweetener between 0.25-0.5%. I try to keep it around 0.25% unless the recipe really needs that much sweetness. I personally start to notice FA Meringue's off flavors around 0.75%, though they do mellow out after a nice long, long steep.
#The Top Notes
HS Ice Cream
A super rich and decadent ice cream. Very buttery and very up front, especially for a cream. Super creamy mouth feel. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to learn there was diacetyl in this. I've tried to find an MSDS on this flavor, but haven't had much luck. So, if this is something you are trying to avoid, might be best to leave this flavor out. You'll still have a really good recipe without it.
HS Australian Chocolate
This flavor has a nice dark chocolate snap to it. Somewhat bitter. Probably the equivalent of a 65%/35% dark chocolate. Perfect for bringing the Oreo cookie to the forefront of the recipe and making it the first thing you taste when you inhale. It has a slight creaminess, but it's still the driest chocolate flavor I've found so far.
#Conclusion
I've only let this steep for 2 days and it's already my new personal favorite recipe. Even beating out my Dreamsicle which has been my ADV for about 4 months running.
You can find the recipe here on ELR.
Order the flavors.
Mix.
Vape.
Enjoy!
Fuck. You.
But in all honesty, this looks like it would be great. I'll have to get the shit to mix it up sometime.
In case anyone else is debating whether or not to pick up the Hangsen extracts in this recipe, Bull City Vapor has both of them, so there's that.
Yup. That's where I picked them up from.
You can easily get the smallest bottles on these flavors too. They are very potent. Probably right up there with INW or MF, but slightly more forgivable.
Yeah I'm sitting here with like ten Hangsen bottles in the cart, debating whether or not to light more money on fire. I'm still chasing a better pineapple, and a good RY4, both of which I think Hangsen has.
Awesome to see HA getting some love here! I've been worried lately, with ECX not relisting flavors and BCV not restocking some for a loooong time, that vendor choices would be down to 1. If anyone is looking for more HA selection RTS carries quite a few more flavors than BCV but they ain't cheap, they come in glass from them and the price reflects it.
I looked through Bullcityvapor, Ecigexpress, and GremlinDIY. I can't get all the flavorings I need for this. My life feels incomplete without a cookies and cream vape now!
Also looked at Hangsen's website and Amazon- where the hell can I get these ingredients? I can't find Hangsen Ice cream anywhere.
Holy crap, I have officially caused a flavor outage. Probably not too hard with these rare flavors.
Grab the HS French Vanilla Ice Cream instead. It will be a suitable replacement.
Looks like you totally did. I ended up ordering and skipping it all together since your notes above said it could be skipped and still its a good vape. Though there will always be next order...
I also bought the ingredients I need to make your Dreamcicle recipe since since the beginning of my whole vape life I have been searching for that flavor of ejuice.
Thanks for the recipes I look forward to trying them, I'll report back.
Damn, I don't have HS Ice Cream. I hate making someone else's recipie using a sub, but I might go ahead and do just that anyway using LB VBIC, which has been my go to VBIC since I got in a month ago. I've been using the Cookies and Cream for a Cookies and Milk recipie:
-
RF Cookies and Cream 12%
-
OoO Cream (Milky Undertone) 0.5%
-
FA Condensed Milk 10% dilution 0.3%
-
LB VBIC 0.25%
Hopefully at least a few more people will start using RF flavors so we could possibly start RF recipie thread similar to the Flavorah thread. That thread seemed to be pretty well utilized as a place to start and bounce around ideas off each other when FLV came out and everybody was figuring them out.
LB?
Dare I ask what this flavoring company is?
Also, I would say HS Ice Cream can be omitted or subbed, if the sub matches the same criteria - ultra buttery and creamy. It's also adding a lot to the Oreo cream flavor.
I'll have to buy some stuff to try your recipe, but I will definitely put them on my list.
Newbie here; if I may ask, why did you say a lot of us would be unable to make this? Is it because of difficulty in the mixing process or obtaining the different concentrates? Just curious.
It's not that you are incapable of mixing it physically. It's that you probably don't have the ingredients required without buying them.
Real Flavors and Hangsen are still up and coming in the DIY scene. Intermediate and even half the advanced mixers probably don't have all three of the flavors I used in this.
Really want to try this. Does anyone know where I can buy RF in the UK/EU?
+1 for UK source on Hangsen and RF concentrates.
Heya! I know this post is a little on the late side, but I did want to follow up with you and let you know I mixed it up. Nice recipe!
I too, like everyone else, was having a hard time grabbing the HS Ice Cream, but I subbed it for CAP Sweet Cream and it still taste phenomenal as a shake and vape. I suppose a little less ice cream flavor and more of a creamy center enhancer. I am sure this will go quickly. Thanks again!
Mines been steeping for about 2 weeks now and it gets better every single day.
These RF flavors really do need a good deal of time.
Looks good. I picked up some RF flavors a few weeks ago, but they were all fruits. I've heard they take quite a bit longer to steep than most flavors. Do you think 2 days is enough or are you expecting it to get a lot better?
I agree with what /u/matthewkocanda said ;) but if I grab all the flavors recommended in this thread I'll finally have 300 flavors. So... almost enough.
I made a juice with 10% RF cookies and cream and 4% cap vbic this morning. Vaped it right away and it was great honestly. Been vaping it all day in my tank and it continues to be awesome. If it gets better after a few days that'll be wonderful but I'm not expecting it to improve that much. Even if it does I don't think I'll notice since I only made a 50ml and that be gone with a few days of work.
Could I make this without the hangsen flavors or is it vital?
I had good luck simply with 10% rf cookies and cream - 4% cap vbic. For my tastes the cookies and cream might be a bit high, going to try 8. Other than that this one just needs a tiny bit more chocolate, like a hint of Hersey's syrup would be perfect. Just need to order FA chocolate.
Wish I could try yours but too many things I don't have. I haven't tried the Australian chocolate before but if it's more dry chocolatey flavor I could probably pass on that with the cookies and cream in there.
Where's the best place to get RF flavors state side?
1st time mixer here. I'm about to order all of these flavors to be my 1st DIY juice. My only question is: What is your recommended amount of VG/PG for this blend?
