People have had discussions about local DIY meetups and groups, so I made a subreddit!
submitted over 9 years ago by Soggy0atmeal

With the new surge of users in DIY due to the FDA regulations and certain users ^Im^talking^to^you^Vurve and discussion about local groups in this subreddit, I figured I would go ahead and start a subreddit for it to see if it could gain some traction.

The goals of the subreddit:

  • To find people in your area that want share the same interest in DIY
  • To let those of whom that don't have their own equiptment use yours if you are willing to let them. (You can charge if you are so inclined)
  • Let people near you commission E-juice
  • Other things that come with knowing DIY'ers in your area

Given the rather scare nature of our hobby, I encourage everyone to post themselves in the area in the slight chance where they are located there is someone else.

I've never made or modded a subreddit before, so you'll have to give me some help or feedback if you see somewhere I could improve it. Hope this helps some people!

Im in Las Vegas and have a clean area I am willing to commission. I made a small lab with the goal of growing into a warehouse and leaving that lab to be rented out by locals that want to work in a clean area.

Not to shit on your parade, what would this sub accomplish that couldn't either be done better by r/(city)DiyJuice, or a weekly sticky here?

Well, we don't want this sun flooded with City posts, and I'm pretty sure the kids don't want to kill one of the two stickies for it

I don't really think the DIY community is large enough yet to warrant that kind of subredditing. Just a simple /r/local_diy is probably perfect honestly.

I'm game. Gotta start somewhere.
