I picked up cupcake batter and milk and honey to see what all this flavorah hype is about. I've mixed these at various percentages, wicks, coil builds, rdas... the milk and honey tastes like cap boston cream pie and the cupcake batter has the tiniest hint of cake batter but at 3% or above it tastes awful. I know flavors need to steep but this is bad. any suggestions? bad batch? It's just over priced hype?
I can shake & vape 5% Cupcake Batter all day. It's friggin beautiful. As it steeps it becomes a little less battery, slightly more cakey, & the caramel/maple nuance comes out more. Its creamy & rich & cakey & caramelly & dense/heavy heaven. You're the first that seems to absolutely hate it. Sorry.
That description is definitely not in the bottle I got because that sounds delicious.
My notes single flavor match trance's. I've gotten a few flv flavors that leaked from bcv and they tasted like shit and were readily replaced with better tasting non leakers. Then again, some people get black pepper from tfa vbic. I can't stand flv strawberry but some people here vape it solo above 6%. Just part of the flavor game.
This is why feel like something is wrong with what I got. It's not even a flavor that's meh. It's either no flavor or awful.
=\ can you elaborate on awful?
Like not even a flavor. It's a dull, dry, stale taste. It's hard to explain. There isn't a distinct potent profile that resembles any flavor. One thing tho is that the tip part was stuck in the cap when I opened it. Idk if this would have had anything to do with it. It wasn't leaking and was in a sealed plastic bag too.
I can barely taste FLV Boysenberry. I tested as stand alone at 2% and 4%, shaken well, steeped for 8 days, 0mg, 70%vg.. only a light taste.
FLV Vanilla Custard i can't taste at all. Tested at 3.5%, well shaken, steeped for 5 days, 0mg, 70%vg, no taste at all. Have mixed another at 6% i will try in a few days which has been sitting for 2 weeks.
Other flavors I've tried are great though.. Wild Melon, Coconut, Chocolate Deutsch, Cream, Tropical Punch, Mocha and Cantaloupe. All good flavor at between 1-3 %.
Blueberry is ok used in combination with other Blueberry's.
Cured Tobacco tastes to me like a nice cigar that you've had in your sock for a week. Found it quite mild at 4% with some nice flavors to it just not a fan of the sock taste.
Yes where did you order from? You should definitely be tasting boysenberry at 2%, & it should be strong af at 4%.
You should be able to taste custard between 3-6% standalone, even though it is a light flavour, & blueberry is amazing by itself at 1.5-3%
Did you buy cranberry yet? That @ 2% with tfa key lime @ 2% WIOOOOO
15 ml bottles From GremlinDiy, i don't think they get re-bottled at Gremlin so can rule a mixing error out there. Would be interested in finding out if it's my taste not picking up these flavors or if it's a bad batch, might order another Boysenberry and compare.
I agree about Vanilla Custard, I can't taste it at 6%. Boysenberry is strong to me though, stands out in a mix at 2 or 3%.
Cured tobacco... At 0.2% it tastes like fresh tobacco smells. At 0.4% it'll overpower anything in its path but I've never got an off flavor from mine. I'm starting to wonder about consistency in yet another manufacturer. Oh wait, never mind, taste is subjective. 😒
I've not found a Flavorah flavor that I -didn't- like. Their Cream is the bee's knees
I didn't love the Tropical Punch or Lemon Grass. That's 2 that will just sit there.
My perfect mix is watermelon(TFA, CAP) 5% with about .7% lemongrass. It gives it a good rind and I add Dragonfruit to reduce the harshness.
Did you shake them well? I know milk and honey is a flavor that people are mixed on. I see it get love and hate.
Cupcake batter is delicious but may not be for everyone. I haven't tasted it by itself yet but it was delicious mixed with some blueberry.
someone else mentioned shaking so i tried it again making sure to shake them good, same thing. im actually vaping 4% cupcake batter %3 FW blueberry as im typing this to see if its better mixed and it tastes like complete ass.
Steep for a week, try it again, report your findings. I've not tried FLV Cupcake Batter but it sounds like a flavor with heavy volatiles, probably requires some steeping.
If FLV Cupcake Batter is anything like their vanilla custard, it needs about two weeks to taste right.
I have bought Tropical Punch and Peanut Butter from BCV recently, both in original packaging and both very good. I don't have experience with FLV cupcake batter so I'm not sure. I would assume it's the original packaging? I'd reach out to BCV and see what they have to say, and maybe let FLV know if it's that bad.
I am having the exact same problem with cupcake batter. It has essentially zero flavor to it. I've tried it as low as 2% up to 10% and I just barely get a hint of cake batter at higher percentages, nothing at lower. I was thinking I was crazy until I saw this. I ordered from BCV. Bottle was not leaking (coconut was, though).
Ratios can get weird depending on what flavors you're mixing and how long they steep. I've had to bump up their cured tobacco to 2.5% (and the ratio is still increasing) in most of my tobacco mixes because it ends up getting dominated by flavors like chocolate and orange citris (whose ratios I've dropped significantly) after my mixes have had a chance to steep.
I always order directly from their website and haven't had any weirdness other than a couple bottles leak in shipping on my first order (at least a year ago) but that led me to become a fan of their customer service. I'd reach out to them directly.
