Found this in another subreddit that I lurk in. I figured plenty of you guys here would be interested in this graphic given the relation between terpenes and aromas

Excuse my ignorance, but I have no idea how this helps or is related to mixing. Would you care to explain?
I am by no means an expert, but terpenes are directly related to the aromas that make up many of our flavors. They can be naturally occurring in many plants such as limonene in citrus flavors, which can cause harshness. Also, sabinene which can be in many spice flavors we have, but if too high of a level can create a horrid peppery taste. From my understanding, if you know a terpene such as limonene is in your mix it can cause harshness, so you'll know that you need to add something to combat the bite from limonene.
> so you'll know that you need to add something to combat the bite from limonene. Have you (or others) any examples of flavour concentrates you are currently using for this purpose? e.g. Dragonfruit The chart is fascinating, a periodic table for tanginess!
Fascinating. Particularly surprised to find polypropylene, a plastic, and rubber are terpenes? What "related sub" did you find this in? I have a feeling I might enjoy it... unless it's /r/infographics, there's so much junk and reposting there
