So I don't see Real Flavors getting talked about or shown too much love on this sub other than u/abdada which is a shame as they have some real gems.. That being the case I figured that I would throw up a review of one of their flavors as I just got in 10 of the newly released flavors and mixed them up. While it's too early to comment on most of them as they need to steep, I can say that the Cherry Pie is every bit as on point as the Bread Pudding, if anybody here has tried RF Bread Pudding you'll know what I mean.
The crust to filling ratio is spot on... perfect! Which kind of surprised me because when testing out the apple pie I found the apples dominated the pie crust.
The pie filling is AMAZING! You'll notice both the sweetness that comes from the cherries being boiled down and sugar being added to IRL Cherry Pie as well as the tartness from the actual cherry, as sour cherries are traditionally used in cherry pie.
As for the use crust, I'm getting hints of a "baked on" granulated sugar topping. For anybody that's tried Walt's Cinnamon Custard or Cinnamon Toast you'll notice that the cinnamon notes have a distinctive cinnamon sugar taste to them. I'm getting that same granulated sugar taste here minus the cinnamon.
For anybody that's been contemplating trying out Real Flavors I'd urge you to make sure that you throw Cherry Pie into your cart as it's definitely a must have if you do decide to pull the trigger and try Real Flavors out.
Omfg...I got bread pudding yesterday and tried it today, so, damn, good. Your post got me salivating after saying it's comparable to bread pudding. I'll have to pick it up ASAP thanks!
I also havnt had much steep time but I can tell strawberry milk shake is going to be the go to for milkshakes. Also, the root beer float is damn good! Spot on root beer, it is a bit lite on the ice cream but we have some pretty good ones to add to it!
I went crazy and got too many of their flavors to try them all and actually take the time to write comprehensive notes, therefore I've only been doing about 5-7 a week. I haven't gotten around to testing the root beer float but I do have it... looks like I'll be mixing it up tomorrow. I'm kind of glad to hear that its a little bit light on the ice cream as I just discovered LB's VBIC, which is hands down my VBIC and sounds like it will be a perfect addition!

I got the full line of LBs flavorings, this is the best of them all. Amazing Vanilla Ice Cream flavor, many of their creams are spot on.
LB's Creams are the only flavorings from them that I've really heard anything positive about. I only got the VBIC though as I wanted to try that one out first and see if it lived up to the hype before I tried any others out which it did. Any recommendations on any of their other creams? They sent me a sample of coconut milk, but I've been busy and haven't had a chance to test it out.
Can I ask what flavor % you used? I tried mixing it up the other day at 15% (yes, I went pretty high on that) and I wasn't too impressed. Maybe it will get better with a steep though.
I just heard about these guys recently. I thought when people were saying RF flavors that it meant reduced flash. I loaded up my cart the other day. Are you mixing with PG at all?
So far I've been mixing them up at 80/20. I don't have any adverse reactions to PG/ PG allergies or anything so it's not a major concern for me to have 100% VG. That being said I polished off my first tester (bread pudding) and will probably finish off a second (cookies & cream) tomorrow, and I'll be making two bottles of each, one at 80/20 and one at 100% VG out of curiosity and to add to my notes.
I hope you will be glad that you took my advice, i have yet to find a flavor that i didnt like. Many of them i can vape on their own, the Bread Pudding is incredible.
I dont add PG, i drip them. I will be trying tho as i feel it will bring the flavors out a bit more.
He is also putting out a line of alcohol based extracts, 3-5% usage is what Walt said. We have several threads on ELR about their flavorings if you are interested.
The new flavors are going to have some real winners.

10%....thats been my go to starting percentage with most of them. After I get done with my single flavor test at 10% then I go ahead a make a test batch at a lower or higher percent depending on how I'm looking to use it in a recipe before making the the actual recipe.
Have you tried Real Flavors Cinnamon Toast, and if so could you reccomend a starting %? I only have a 7ml sampler so the less trial and error the better
I've been testing most of their flavors at 10% for the most part but have gone lower at 8%. The flavors that I tested at 8% were fine and still flavorfull enough for me to compile some notes without feeling the need to add anymore flavor to what I already have. If waste is a concern I'd probably start at 6% drip a couple of times at 6% to see if that's adequate, if not add in 2% increments until it tastes strong enough. The cinnamon toast goes great with the blueberry muffin, to fill out some of the bread notes in blueberry muffin, as blueberry muffin is a little too berry forward for my taste. Hopefully I'll have a recipie for a Blueberry Streusel Muffin to post in about a week, just waiting on V2 to steep.
Where are you buying the RF Cherry Pie from. Only place I can find it is here, and I really don't want 2 oz. of it without trying it.
Real Flavors has a link on their website to their selections on Gremlin, ECX, and their Amazon store, where they sell smaller bottles. I'm guessing the only way to get the cherry pie is to order direct as it was just released a week ago, but it doesn't hurt to check (I would have checked for you but I'm on mobile with no signal and ran out of high speed data, it's literally taking me a min. or two to load a web page at the moment). If you want to check out their quality in a smaller size and the cherry pie isn't available on Gremlin or ECX, I can't reccomend the Bread Pudding and Cookies & Cream enough, both are fantastic... I'd imagine Gremlin or ECX would have both of those in stock.

I'll try out some of the flavors you recommended, and a few more, then make up my mind on cherry pie. It's a flavor I've been desiring for quite some time now. Hell, maybe I'll order it anyways.

Bread Pudding, Cookies & Cream, and Cherry Pie are my three favorite. Blueberry Muffin is really growing on me. Fresh mixed it's very berry forward/dominant however the muffin really starts to come through after a steep. Cinnamon Toast and Cinnamon Custard with the cinnamon sugar note have been working out great for me as complimentary flavors in recipies. the French Toast is crazy accurate, if that fits a flavor profile you enjoy. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to mix up many of the fruits yet, but the strawberry is nice. Honestly I can't say that I've done enough testing on that one on it's own, but I can say that it's fantastic when combined with INW Shisha Strawberry. I prefer their blood orange to FW, I get more raspberry notes out of compared to FW's.... Oh and their chocolate is nice doesn't scorch, so you can face it at higher wattages similar to MF's Chocolates and Chocolate Deutsch.
This gives me a great starting point to try some of their stuff, thanks! Another question regarding their chocolate, have you tried it compared to CAP DoubleChoc? If so how would you rate it? Besides that I think im gonna pick up all the bakery stuff you listed, they sound hella tasty
I'd probably check the Real Flavors thread over at over on ELR's forum as well for some reviews/insight as well before making a purchase as there are some reviews of some flavors that I haven't gotten around to testing yet. I can't say that I've tried CAP Double Choc. I know I've tried a chocolate or two over at my buddies shop (I remeber him saying it was CAP, but don't know which) and didn't care for it, but I vape at higher temps. so MF chocolates and Chocolate Deutsch are the only ones that I've ever liked as they can withstand higher temps.
