Today I got my delivery. It was a little cardboard box with some "LIQUID HANDLE WITH CARE HANDLE WITH CARE GLASS THANK YOU" stickers on it. Perched right on my doormat when I return home, tall and proudly lying undisturbed, perpendicular to the door.
Packaging peanuts on the bed, bubble wrap, and a zipper bag of 3 whopping 30mL bottles. All three of them. Beautiful. Another ziplock bag with four 8mL vials of flavors. 4? Wait, why 4? There was an invoice enclosed. 1 Marshmallow, 2 Biscuit Flavor by INA, Graham cracker, my big bottles were fruits and vanilla.
I didn't mean to buy two bottles of INA Biscuit, I accidentally added it to my cart twice. I'll surely use them both, -I'm not complaining- I'll still make budget.
The invoice says "Packed by JH". Whoever that is, thank you so much. Wizard Labs packaging is good.
Beside the packing initial, also a "Pulled by".
- Last time I ordered from Wizard Labs, the website warned of delays--and there were delays. When it arrived, there was a syringe in the box that I didn't order. Was this complimentary syringe a gift for our patience?
Whoever is "Pulled by" must be slipping me extra syringes on the DL. Nice touch! I'm always needing new syringes, and to include one regularly, that's much more practical swag than a sticker.
Thank all of Wizard Labs for putting so much into your business. I just felt it deserved recognition.
I love Wizard Labs. I won't shop anywhere else unless there is something WL doesn't carry (which is rare for me). Never had a single issue with this supplier - always high quality over the 2 years I've used them. Wizard Labs and the DIY community are the most important aspects to my mix hobby.
My first order ever was with WL, no hate against them, they're great for a first order, but...
I like nicotine from dedicated suppliers, using CXTC lately, so that cuts WL out.
I find it's less expensive to order PG/VG separately, in larger quantity, so that cuts WL out.
I find ECX & Bull City have better selections, or I order from TFA or Flavorah in bulk, so that cuts WL out.
So I haven't made an order with them since my very first. Again, nothing against them, but they don't serve my needs.
Wish Bullcity carried large bottles (16oz+) I swear they drop it in the mail moments after I order. Ill have to try Flavorah. Any suggestions on good flavs from them?
Where do you buy large quantity PG/VG?
Personally? Amazon, because I have a Prime account. VG $25/gallon shipped. Also check Bulk Apothecary and Essential Depot, both also run irregular sales that will get talked about on here, so keep an eye out.
I'd say Wizard Labs is the best newbie site to order from. The layout is big and easy to read, all the flavor images get a little abbreviation for the mfg, the 8ml vials are just the right size, and price, to get a whole bunch without breaking the bank. They have everything you need to get started.
Don't get me wrong, BCV, ECX, OSDIY, Nicotineriver, and all the rest are great and I think most of us has switched over to them, but Wizard will always be that special place a lot of people started diy.
They are decently priced, but they don't have as wide of a selection as BCV or ECX.
Oh, and all their stuff comes in vials. That's a deal breaker.
Other than those two things, I agree. They were great when I was buying from them and appreciated them supplying pipettes.
I've always had a positive experience with Wizard Labs. For some the glass veils are a deal breaker, and since I've been mixing by weight for the last year, I find myself ordering less and less from them.
The main benefit from using glass veils is that there's no guarantee of leaking unless the glass breaks. Plastic bottles may leak as they aren't completely airtight.
They sell, separately in packs of 5, rubber types droppers for their 8ml vials. I always keep some extras.
Personally I like their 8ml vials for sampling a new flavor.
Was really happy to see them start carrying a limited selection of INW. Wishing they would start carrying FA.
My order took about a week to receive and the gummy candy spilled a bit so the other vials reeked for a bit. They are just slow.
I do the majority of my purchases from wizard labs. I ordered from ECX once and forgot an item right after I placed my order, they wouldn't even combine the order or give me a discount on the shipping. Basically if I wanted everything, I had to pay shipping twice. Even then, I had ordered butter cream and they sent me butter. I basically had to order it by itself somewhere else and pay the shipping on that... Horrible experience for me.
Wizard labs allows you to combine orders without a hitch. They are great for that! And they are super fast. BCV is another great supplier.
My top vendors are Wizard Labs, Bull City Vapors, and Gremlin DIY. If they don't have what you need, you don't need it.
I wish. I asked them if they would sponsor me for Extra Life a couple years ago (at an extremely low rate, like less than $100 -- I was using their products on stream, I thought they'd like the dirt cheap advert) but no dice. Not even an email back declining. :( But I'm nobody, so I can't blame them.
I feel like if they interacted with the reddit community, they'd be more willing to do things like that. But whatever, it doesn't bother me one bit. It's just nice knowing you can reach out easily in general, is what I'm getting at.
Maybe we could nudge them?
