Holy flying fuck. I knew flavorah was expencive.. But 8.95cad for 10ml.. 3$ more than the rest of their flavorings.. what gives??
Same with vanilla custard and coffee by them.. why the increase in price? Just cause its popular?
Or it's expensive to make. Concentrates are affected by the cost of the volatiles used as well as the mixing method to make it.
I have some volatiles that cost $30 per kg, and other volatiles that cost $3500 per kg.
No doubt, I never considered that.. thanks for the insight. I honestly thought they were charging extra cause of high demand. I suppose it the same reason lemonade by loranns is just a more expensive mix than average. Also rainbow sherbet (top shelf) by OoO is 12$ for 10ml..
Makes me wana get into making concentrates, but I'd imagine it is not cheap to get into.
My favorite volatiles are all in the $2000-$3000 price per kg range. No one sells them in smaller than kg quantities. And 1kg is enough to make tens of thousands of gallons of concentrate, but there's no market for that much concentrate.
I've been working on concentrates for over a year and I still don't have any worth selling. My 3 favorite concentrates are maybe 6/10 at best, nowhere close to the worst at TFA lol.
All I remember was 500k (euro I think?) for the base mixing machine that flavour art uses in the Pbusardo trip vid. I can't imagine it's very cheap at all when you also add in raw ingredient cost and all the other machines used.
Hey /u/Twistedfexer our prices are all based on the cost to produce the flavoring. Pink Guava is one of the most expensive flavorings for us to make--one reason being that it is natural and organic.
If we charged more for the most popular flavors, then clove would be ... $0.10 since nobody seems to mix with it, but it is extremely expensive (and concentrated) and one of our highest priced flavors for that reason.
In the end our mission is to make flavors available to you that are good for vaping, and to stand behind them. If you don't like something and it can't be used, then send us an email with your order info we'll find something that works.
Definitely don't check the price on Coconut and Rich Cinnamon then.
But consider that most of us dilute them at least in half. Best flavors ever. You hear me /u/notcharlesmanson ? Because /u/skiddlzninja can't in the closet.
But its sooo good :) Very strong though! Try getting their Rich Cinnamon or Coconut, they set me back even worse if I remember correctly :(
Yeah, they vendor I get 98% of my concentrates from doesn't carry a large selection of flavorah. Mostly tobaco flavors.
They have a huge selection of nearly every other brand tfa, cap,la,inw,fa,fw,OoO,mb just their flavorah section is maybe 20-30 flavors tops.
But you don't need but a few drops per 30ml. 1% standalone is perfect for me.
Wow, standalone? How does it compare to regular Fa guava? Or other guava flavorings for that matter?
Isn't this the flavor that botboy described as grapefruit?
Have you tried FA Guava? It's very strange; pithy, bitter, not at all like the flavor of guava most of us associate it with. It's almost too realistic; skin and all. And it's incredibly strong. A single drop in a 30ml is enough to ruin a recipe if you aren't careful.
I haven't had any other, and really I like it enough that I would reorder it again. This 15ml will be around for a bit tho. Here is the post that made me want to try it. I cut the FLV PG down to 2%, and omitted the LA. Cap Lychee was all I had too. I still make this when I need something different.
$8.95/15ml not 10ml
Well Im in Canada and order mostly from http://www.diy-ejuice.com and there is it 8.95 for 10ml
Oh my b, that makes more sense. Sry to hear you have to pay more! Sounds like things are getting pretty rough over there =(
Yeah, for vaping it really is cause most big brands are american, european etc etc and we have very strick improt policies which can make things get realllly expencive if caught at the border.
It saddens me going on american sights to see the same mods and tanks go for a fraction on what it costs here. I paid 55$ for the arctic subohm tank.. See it in the states for 20$ new all the time lol..
I find the prices correlate to the strength of it, in my experience.
For example, with pink guave:
I use 1 drop per 30mL in a recipe with many fruit in it (you can find it in my post history if you look, it's called summer bash) and it is still one of the main stars of the mix.
Same thing for Rich Cinammon.
I think the price is justified by that.
