Till now I was mixing my own sucralose @10% ( by weight 1.69g/ml ) and all i needed was 2 drops in a mug of tea to really sweeten it, got a 16 oz bottle from TFA which is also supposed to be 10% sucralose and i dropped more than 6 drops in my tea and its nowhere that sweet, this is my first time getting tfa sweetener so I dont have a reference point but i was guessing that it should be as sweet as 10% sucralose ( powder bought from e liquid mart).....this is gonna throw off all my recipes which have sweetener in it....anyone else have more experience with tfa sweetener and has bought in a the last month from TFA please chime in

Also, what brand sucralose did you mix? Powdered sucralose is different from liquid sucralose is different from pure sucralose in terms of potency. Some sucralose powders may have caking agents that can enhance sweetness perception or even include a little sweetness themselves (maltodextrin, etc).
I was using powdered sucralose from here ,http://www.eliquidmart.com/pure-sucralose-powder-sweetener-40g/ ( says pure sucralose no fillers or additives) and yes I shook the tfa bottle, going by the taste looks like i was using equivalent of 4% tfa sweetner in some recipes ( which i personally hated but ppl seemed to love ) unknowingly i was making premium e juice and selling for peanuts!
TFA Sweetener is also confusing to me because others market it as 10% sucralose but TFA's actual SDS shows 5% sucralose, 46-56% water and 42-47% propylene glycol with <5% maltol. Very weird composition. More water than PG according to the ingredients list.
I like the addition of Maltol for the jammy taste, though. Makes it thicker sweet rather than sugary sweet.
makes sense as its just about half the strength of the 10% mix that i had , capella super sweet is 20% sucralose and I have seen ppl here subbing 2% tfa sweetener for .5% supersweet.
now following someone else recipes where it sucralose 10% will be confusing...whether to use twice as much if using tfa sweetener or the same amount.....anyways Dada not connected to this topic but send me some reike when you are in that zone the next time!

The reason I ask is because 10% is percent concentration and can be in the form of v/v, w/w, or w/v. Since Sucralose is a solid, we can ignore v/v. Also, if the first two are used then they are designated after the percent sign i.e. 10% (v/v) or 10% (w/w) and if there is no designation, then it's assumed to be w/v. So, a 10% w/v is equivalent to 10 g of Sucralose per 100 ml of solution or 0.1 g/ml. If you made a solution at 1.69 g/ml, then you actually made a 169% solution. Hence the reason it is much sweeter than the TFA version.
