Ecigexpress nicotine?
submitted over 9 years ago by Double4Free

Hey all,

Just got my order from ecigexpress. Mixed up a simple watermelon menthol. Got a wiff off the nicotine and it smells kinda funny. Almost like its spoiled. I'm pretty new to this, so wondering if this is normal? The bottle is steeping so I cant comment on the flavor but I dripped some of the watermelon menthol and it didn't taste peppery per say I don't think.

Any help would be appreciated.

Should be clear.

Don't smell it again. It's bad for you.

Have ordered from ECX before and their Nic was pretty good.

I've found high strength nicotine (60-100mg) has a sort of nutty smell. Not offensive or unpleasant but not exactly great either.

If it's still colourless and doesn't taste peppery or harsh in a mix it should be fine.

Maybe edit your post with batch#. Somebody here is using the same stuff and might help you put your mind at ease.I used #082815 between CXT and NN orders and it was fine.

Huh? You know we vape this stuff, right?

Depends on the concentration. Nicotine vaporizes easily, so if you're inhaling off a 60-100MG bottle, you can easily inhale a fairly hefty dose. This is why you're suppose to mix in a room with ventilation and/or use a respirator.

I'd heard you're suppose to mix up some pure vg with nic in it and see how it tastes, to understand the flavor profile of a particular brand.

BRB, gonna try pouring some 100mg on a rag, stick in my back pocket and just pull it out and huff on it throughout the day.

Obviously...

Everything I've read on here says there's no real point in smelling your nicotine. Once, sure, that's understandable. He very well could have gotten a bad batch. But I don't see why he would want to continue smelling it after the first go around.

BTW, thank you for all the work you've put into Alltheflavors. I had a demo and it seemed amazing. Looking at picking up a subscription sometime soon.

a) Thanks for the kind words. It's awesome to be appreciated and help out fellow mixers

b) The worst part of making alltheflavors is it's ruined being a jerk in here. Now I feel all bad. :)

Mix up just the nic base in your preferred pg/vg base level and see if it's good or not. Shouldn't be peppery or harsh

Even the best nic I've used has smelled slightly like a Guinea-Pig Cage.

Nic should be basically odorless, but often isn't depending on extraction method. If it's still clear and doesn't change the flavor of your mixes it's probably ok

I have ordered a ton of nic from ECX, and I've only been unhappy-ish with it once. When I premixed some base and it sat for a long, long time, pretty much out in the open with direct light and all that. It got peppery within a few weeks, so I threw that "batch" out.

Ever since, I've been a lot more careful and attentive to it, and I haven't had a problem.
