Looking for a specific banana flavour.. Brown banana? Experts please help
submitted over 9 years ago by Bagle2605

So im a huge fan of banana vapes and im looking for the nana used in Lenola cream. I've tried so many and can't figure out how it's made. I know it's kinda subtle and theres other fruits mixed in so it can be tricky to tell apart but my description would be a sweet squishy banana, almost overriped brown banana, very natural, not candy like. Almost milkshake like but more natural.. I know it can be a combination of severel flavours but i've vaped so much LC that i can pick that flavour apart from the rest of it and I've read every banana note on ELR and flavourexpress reviews. And ofcourse the entire subreddit..

This is what i tried:

TPA banana cream (mellow but not it)

TPA banana ripe (not really ripe, more fresh candy like)

TPA banana nut bread (nope, doesn't do it)

FA banana ( wow this actually taste like staled beer, yuck)

INW shisha banana ( hell no)

CAP banana ( alot like TPA ripe)

MB soft banana ( my favorite so far, but not it)

MBV banana cream pie ( this is more like a salty peanut banana)

HS Banana ( reminds me of FA's)

LA banana cream ( nope)

Thanks

UPDATE.: i've just landed three more banana flavours to try out

INW Banana

FW banana foster

DV real banana

I might do a banana megathread once i get the time to test em out

Dump the banana and go with strawberry instead. Similar component volatiles to banana.

LC does have a touch of strawberry present but i can deffinetly tell the banana

It's a common perception error. There's no banana in it. It's INW Shisha Strawberry because of the caramelic/clove note in that concentrate that makes people think "oh, brown banana" but it's really fermented strawberry.

Sniff INW Shisha Strawberry and you'll say "wow, Lenola Cream".

Now i Do know you're the Einstein of flavours and can barely get myself to argue with you but here i believe you're wrong. I did try some of those LC clones with shisha strawberry and every time i regret using SS, especially because of that clove note you're describing, and it deffinetly doesn't give me a feel of bananas. I can't find that anywhere in LC.. I believe that part is low percentage strawberry, juicy peach.. FA forest fruit has a bit of that in it as well but also something else that doesn't fit

All I have to say is GOOOOD FUUCKING LUCK. I truly hope you crack this one. I've lost a couple years off my life expectancy over this one.

I have tried every. single. banana out there. I even have a 30ml of MF banana because its so good, but it definitely isnt in LC.

Now, I do agree with /u/abdada regarding the caramelic/clove notes contributing to the characteristics of a ripened banana, but in MY attempts, strawberry shisha is NOT in LC. I do hope I eventually get proven wrong, though.

I've gone through over 80 revisions and iterations (not to mention the amount of concentrates ive purchased) trying to nail it down.

I've come to the conclusion that they must be using a local flavor house, or a much lesser known concentrate company to achieve these distinctions:

  1. The cheesecake tang that isnt achieved by any of the major company cheesecakes. I've tried to do some cheesecake and yogurt combos, but havent hit the mark.

  2. The floral component(s). Im convinced there is honeysuckle in LC. But there is something else, ive contemplated cherry blossom. There is an elusive floral note that doesnt fade, but retains its character throughout the aging stages.

  3. The nutty component. Which is where banana nut bread comes into play. It holds as a very realistic soft banana with a mildly indistinct nuttiness to it. i couldnt seem to find a way to balance the bnb enough before i raised the white flag on everything.

I truly do hope someone cracks this. For science, of course.

Oh shit Matt, we should be bro's ;-)

Now im only at a v20 but do believe im closer than anything else posted out there, mainly because people fall in to that shisha trap. That said im not nowhere near close enough to give out a recipe, if i do i want it to be at least 85% correct.. But still working on it on two parts, base (the pieish) and then the fruits..

Are you sure honeysuckle is in it? I don't get that but i do have it in my stash, could give it a tester..

Either way, yeah that banana flavouring though, its damn hard to figure out and its like anything i had before. The best way i can get it is from a fresh opened bottled, at a bit lower watts and then exhailed very slowly.. And its there.. Like abdada i do have trouble tasting bananas sometimes, but this method works for me

Now don't loose hope, will figure it out eventually

FW Bananas Foster with perhaps a touch of HS Banana

Yep was going to say this, FW Bananas Foster gives a over riped banana taste combined with other banana flavorings but can also give an off taste if the % is too high in the mix.

But that sugar syrup... Am I alone in being more worried about vaping acetaldehyde than vaping diacetyl?

I'll give you that. I just can't make myself dump my FW Yellow Cake until there's a decent replacement. Until then, I'm trying to keep it under 3%.

one review on Medicine Flower's Banana
> •Banana - tastes like an actual perfectly ripe banana. Not artificial at all. No candy taste. Not too sweet. Could vape by itself all day.

Nude Nicotine's Banana Cream Pie is the most natural banana I've found (there's no "pie").

What percentages have you tried it at? I want to try their new nicotine and I was going to throw a few flavors in the order.

by tranceinateover 9 years agoIn a good mood for now - don't piss me off.

5% solo, 1-3% in mixes. 7% if using like a kayfun 3.1

I recently wondered if I'd solved this exact query. I bought gourmet banana super concentrate from juicefactory.com.au (in Australia) however I'm led to believe it is rebranded Baker's flavors.

It is a fairly realistic, very strong, ripe banana flavor. Tested at 1% and found a very complex, full bodied 'slightly brown' banana flavor. The detail of the flavor was easily lost in a heavy cream mix, even at 2%, when I realised how well it works in combination with a candy banana.

As the banana is only a background note, my current 'lenola cream' uses:

  • 0.5% LA banana cream
  • 0.25% Juicefactory gourmet banana

what it you mix banana ripe(TFA) with Acetyl Pyrazine(very low percentages)

on a side note. i always felt that the hint of banana present in Lenola cream came from the LA cheesecake flavor in the recipe that i used.

can you please provide the Lenola cream recipe that you're using, so we can check the ingredients

I can't see how that would make the end result, i just got a couple others banana flavours to try out, but yeah think its a combo.

So far i've got more than 20 different recipes of LC and three of them steeping right now so im not quite there yet where i feel comfortable about posting anything while im still testing out different ideas.. Will let you guys know as soon as i got something though
