So I thought of something that could be nice..

We already have the weekly suggest a recipe, but what if we took that a step further and added suggest a flavor.

It could be in the exact same weekly post as suggest a recipe, just add in suggest a recipe-or-flavor. So, when you comment your list of flavors you would add either "recipes" or "favors" at the end or beginning of your comment to indicate what kind of help you're looking for.

Idk maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself. But, I'm trying my best to come up with ideas and such to help the community.

Maybe this isn't the best idea, but I'll leave that to the community to decide. What does everyone think of this idea ?

[Slightly off-topic] My thought is we have a lot of info/resources on flavor pairings. But a section on accent flavors would be an incredible resource for the community. A place where the hive mind could share their discoveries of "this flavor" makes "this flavor" pop.

What you're describing is literally the result of flavor pairing. Unless you mean additives?

Weird, just a bit ago I was actually about to post in that thread asking what kind of flavors would pair well with a few certain flavors I have, then I reread the OP and was like, well wait that's not what this is for.

Yeah, I've been thinking of a way to get the whole suggest a flavor thing going but it almost always came up to the mods having more work to do. But with this idea it literally becomes the community's problem.. lol

I know we have a lot of tools and threads to browse to find recipes and flavors you might like, but I find it much more enjoyable to actually communicate with another mixer to get the feeling of an actual presence in the community. Not just being a lurker and making a bad post here n there and getting sidebarred lol

I love the idea. My 'suggest a flavor' for this week is INW Rhubarb. Spring is here and so is Rhubarb season. What a perfect time to put some effort into a delicious rhubarb recipe.
