Twelve monkeys new line has a flavor they call Macaraz which thwy say is a french raspberry macaron with nutty almond.. This kind of sound like a version of rhodonite.. Has anyone tried Macaraz and can say it isn't rhodonite? Cause it looks kind of fishy..

Good idea, lol. Twelve monkeys is a very popular brand.. If they did infact copy the recipe the least they could do is give a honorable mention..

It is not about enyawreklaw losing money - it is about somebody else making money off of enyawreklaw's recipe.
As shitty as it is, that's the risk someone takes posting a recipe in public, once you make it public domain you lose all rights to it
Not sure about this juice, but I know that there is a juice company called Ryze that used Rhodonite exactly as well as going so far as selling their strawberry milk recipie as maidens milk. I never buy commercial juice but I do go out of my way to support local business. This company does happen to be local to me and after hearing good things about them I decided give them some bussines...boy was that a mistake after finding out that this guy was a fraud.
Note: I ordered these before I knew about ThirdWorldOrder's Maiden's Milk so it didn't set off any alarms, however after the first drip of the raspberry macaron and I knew exactly where this guy got his recipie from.
Could it be a coincidence? They could have used the recipe as a reference and added their own personal tweaks to it. If that's the case, then would it still be considered stealing?
No, I wouldn't have thought much of it if it was just using it as a reference. It was marketed as a raspberry (just raspberry) macaron, and you can taste the fuji in there. Vaping them side by side in a blind test there is no discernable difference. I live in N.E. Indiana which is where this company is from, and after I ordering I realized that Ryze was marketing themselves as being out of Chicago. Sure enough when I got the package in the mail, it shipped out of Fort Wayne. The whole thing seemed shady AF.
I'm also curious where the line is drawn....and would people be infringing on ones recipe if say they used the same flavors but at a slightly different percentage?
That's where it gets a little grey unfortunately. If they tweak the flavors or %s a bit then it's technically not his recipe. Can't necessarily copy right a flavor profile, otherwise we'd all be getting heat from the first person to do strawberries & cream lol
Wayne has publicly stated that as long as you tweak the recipe, it's yours to do with as you wish.
Do I think it's right to just change the fruit and sell it as yours... Not really, but it's not my call to make.
Ohh, alright I thought Wayne was the one that said all he liked was a mention that it is his recipe.. I guess that was someone else I follow that said it.
Regardless if nothing comes of this.. At least if Wayne sees this he can have that satisfaction of knowing a pretty big company is using us recipe. It's a kick in the pants and a pat on the back at the same time lol
People can do what they please with these public recipes. Do I think it's okay? Not necessarily as time and money went into the creation of these recipes. But there nothing illegal about it. In fact, they are doing the "labor" and bottling and everything which also takes time and money, so selling it for a profit isn't necessarily wrong, but if someone is really using an exact recipe, I feel credit should be given.
