I know it's probably been asked before (and no, I did not search) but there's always new rda's and rta's coming out.
Looking for something new and want the best possible taste and design I can get. When I'm trying new flavors and recipes, I use my mutation v x4. However, I usually find myself using my velocity mini day to day.
Also, I trust your opinions more than the uncultured heathens in the other subreddits.
PS. I'm waiting on my Tsunami to show up, sooner or later, but wanted to know what else is out there.

Tobeco Velocity clone, great to build on!
I just bought a Velocity clone in white from /u/vapenwcom. It looks great and it's easy to build, my only gripe is the lack of airflow options. I have it on my Reuleaux RX200, which is also bad ass. I've had the same three batteries in it since yesterday, vaping at .5 and 55w and they are only about 1/4 drained.
This is honestly the best $60 I've ever spent on vape hardware.
also using my rx200! it's a great set up. I've never felt a need for greater airflow on the velocity, but that's just me i guess

I wrap coils for myself and some friends...velocity is the only one that doesn't make me want to tear my hair out haha
Yeah man, I've been using a Royal Hunter but I got my Tobeco Velocity in the mail yesterday and hoooooly shit I love it.
The Royal Hunter has better airflow. But I'm definitely keeping the RH at home and using the Velocity as my out and about atty. Hits like a dream

I really wish I could customize the airflow on the Velocity a little better, I'm thinking about taking it to the garage and drilling one or two of the holes out a little wider, but I'm scared it might make it look like shit. Maybe I will when the white finish is a little beat up.
The airflow on the RH must be pretty bad.
Griffin the amount of juice it uses got me into DIY in a hurry.
Rocking the black Griffin too, love it. Probably get a SS 22mm v2 in a few weeks and rock both.
Definitely love the Griffin. The SS 22mm v2 looks fairly similar to the Mutation X v4 which I picked up recently. tbh I'm not a huge fan of the side airflow and am more excited to get a hold of a Tsunami - preferably without waiting 3 weeks for a fasttech order.
For the 30 dollars retail for the Tsunami (Eciggity) not sure why anyone would go to FT for that, lol. The convenience of a tank has my wary of going back to any RDA unfortunately, I mean I love how a nice RDA looks but carrying around bottles of juice and dripping (especially at work or out and about) is just inconvenient to me at this point for the little bit of extra flavor. I think the only true benefit an RDA has over a RDTA, for me, is being able to change out cotton faster, but that's like barely much faster at this point.
What side side airflow are you referring to on the Griffin when you say you don't like it? The new top airflow on the v2? I haven't tried that yet, I'm actually dumb excited to try it.
Vaping "The Real Barney Rubble" on the Griffin right now. My go to tank for work, and my ADV. Fruity Pebbles in any form will turn the very worst of days into the very best of days.
I'm vaping Strawberry Cheesecake right now. It's pretty good but I've got my tweaked v2 steeping - it definitely needed more of a creamy flavor.
I also whipped up a batch of this last night. The smell is amazing and I think I have a new ADV candidate.

You know, I was a little sketched out by the site as well. Very limited on hardware and it seemed so... bare. BUT! They did a fantastic job with S&H and even entertained my idea of trying their Turtle (Skittles flavor) ejuice. Unfortunately, I did not like the juice. Still, great service, great prices, and shit you're buying from a Vaping Walrus. /u/VapingWalrus is on my list of sites to check now.
About a dozen Royal Hunter full size, plus an old Protank for MTL flavor testing. And my favorite RDA (Aeronaut) to see if I would like it.
Ahhhh, I was hoping this would come up. I find the design of the aeronaut very intriguing. Seems like it could be very good. Wanted some honest feedback before I pay triple the price of a normal rda
Do the tubes in the Aeronaut giggle or wobble at all? Like once it's all set up, do they move at all, or make noise when you shake it? I know, I know.... Kinda dumb question, but I've been thinking about getting one and saw a review about one dude saying the tubes sit lose (I got mad OCD on vape gear).

Nice. I think I need one. I'm a big fan of the top air flow attys because they don't leak near as much. This one definitely is a new twist on that and some cool innovation. Their starting to come out with different replacement tubes for it too... Guess they change the vape up a bit.

I got my aeronaut from eciggity about a week ago. Super smooth vape with pretty good flavor. It does indeed sound like a freight train when you hit it. The number of people who try to buy it off me after they try it is ever growing.
I can safely say I have added this to the list of "favorite rda" as many others have.

Nice, thanks for the mini review. It sounds like I definitely need one. I need a new box mod to, but still trying to find the right one for the right price. Need something with dual parallel 18650's that's not big and clunky, and also can hit 150+ watts. Kinda wish I had a nice unregulated mosfet box again (last one broke). The Tuglyfe and Anarchist one look pretty decent, just need the flow for it all.
I got most all the parts to actually make some myself, just don't have a garage or tool shop. Kinda a one bedroom apartment non car fixing handy man kinda guy. Plus as I mentioned, I got vape gear OCD. So I'd be sanding the Hammond boxes slight lean off and tweaking out on the things properly driving myself crazy at the same time.

Just got the aromamizer supreme and it's a beast!!! Don't waste your time with any other rta. I roll a hanya, kennedy, velocity clone and an indestructible when I'm dripping
I have 4 of the normal Aromamizers and if the supreme is anything like its predecessor, I can only chime in. First tank I've ever been really happy with!
Hannya doesn't get the love it deserves. Such a great design and I get a killer vape off it. I went with the Boreas RTA over the aromamizer supreme purely for aesthetics, but I may still pick one up.
I only have my trusty Atty3 right now, and it hasn't ever let me down on flavor. Occasionally I can pry my partner's Buddha out of his hands to test on that. On mix days have my DIY-friend's Velocity, Mutation X v4 and TFV4 to taste test in. Eventually I'll have a Griffin and Kennedy 22 around as well.
For the purposes of testing DIY mixes, I've been using my old Plume Veil 1.5 clone in single coil mode. I use single coil mode because DIY mixing requires so many wick changes and doing it only once is half the work. But I'm going to retire the Plume Veil and replace it with my new Tsumani, also in single coil mode.
For non-DYI use, I still prefer my Velocity clones for around the house and one of my RTAs for travel (currently the Mutank, but I also have a Crius 3, Griffin, and Aromamizer).
Typically use Dual (24/32) Kanthal Clapton Coils. 3.5mm, 5 wraps.
I'm pretty old school, I still use the Legal Vape 4000
i've got the phenotype-L on my vcm. it's a great, two post device that can fit virtually any build you can make. it has an included chuff cap, or you can use the standard 510 drip tip cap. and it has four massive adjustable airflow slots on each side.
i use a 25mm vcmt on my snow wolf. the vcmt is a beast! massive velocity style build deck with bottom airflow, and wicking is extremely simple to get without any leaking. the vapor production and flavor are second-to-none on this device! this is as close to dripping with a rta as you can get!
i just picked up the moonshot when i was at a vape convention this past weekend. i threw in dual 5 wrap 2x26 fused with 36g all ka1. this device is a little bit different than anything i've ever seen/built on. with that being said it's a two post deck with bottom airflow. it was quite simple to build on, and very easy to wick. have had zero leaking with my first attempt at wicking this device. and the flavor is incredible off this little rta!
tldr; I use the phenotype-L rda, 25mm vcmt, and moonshot rta. so far these are my favorite atomizers to use, and would recommend them a hundred times over anything else.
I have a few franken-orchids I really love, which are my daily drivers, paired with either my sigeli 100's or istick 20's. I'm a man of simple needs.
I did order a billow which should be in soon. Also grabbed some orchid fill hole topcaps and some orchid 2-piece chimneys. Ought to improve my orchid experience some. I really like these atomizers despite being so oddly varied between versions. Which is why mine have been frankensteined from various versions.
Derringer clone (four post holes) is still my go to. Mad flavour, airflow wide open is perfect for me. Considering picking up an authentic but I'm a bit meh on the three post design.
Indestructible on my noisy cricket for those cloudsbro moments. Quite like this atty but it's a prick to build on. Not bad flavour considering it's more of a clouds RDA.
OBS Crius RTA - only tank I have. Works nicely but the flavour's not amazing. Velocity deck so nice to build on although a little scarce on space on the deck.
The above three are my go tos at the moment.
Tried a Bambino clone, it's meh, has like this airflow obstruction ring type thing that makes it hit more like a top down airflow - wispy and dry. Not my thing.
Waiting on a Tsunami - Had a Kennedy clone with a griffin cap - really like the way it vaped, hopefully the Tsunami is similar. But was building on the Kennedy last night and stripped the threads on a post.
Dotmod clone on my Cuboid today but ehh, still undecided about the airflow, feels a hair tighter than the Derringer wide open. Build quality on this one is shit too.
I don't know about everyone else, but I've gone through several rtas and rdas and I always end up coming back to my Lemo v2. Yeah it's old, yeah it's only a single coil build but the flavour it manages to produce is amazing, plus you get a nice smooth throat hit. It's also got that unique side top refill assigned it's super convenient when you're on the go. Although I've recently purchased the Griffin Tank rta and its definitely in par with my lemo in terms of flavour production, plus you get massive build space.
For when doing flavour tests, I use the sapor rda, you can fill that thing like crazy and get no leaks due to the top airflow design.
Ive used the Billow v2 and uwell crowns but I always have seem to have spit back or leaking issues. Flavour isn't much all there either.
The troll is great for dual coils 24g, or plume veil for cloud chasing.. Alternatively the velocity for a great all rounder :)
I am a big fan of geekvape product. Owned several RTA and the griffin is really a game changer for me. I always sucked at building anything and this device allows me to get a good vape without too much effort. I also received today my tsunami. I can not really say anything about it, first because that is my first RDA and I do not really have a comparison, and second because my builds will certainly evolve.
My only complain is that I have a lot of issue using the wide drip tip everybody is using right now. For me that's just too much flavor and it makes me caugh.
I'm using a smok tfv4 with the rebuild able coil (0.7 ohms single coil) as my out and about RDTA. I also have a velocity V2 clone RDA. Biggest gripe is the smok guzzles juice like a bitch; can sometimes go through 10ml a day, since the tank hold five. It's alright though since I make my own liquid but if I bought it I wouldn't be happy.
One that hasn't been mentioned here is the twisted messes V2. It's actually really nice, easy to build on, and the airflow option is super nice. When you're casually vaping it, you can have the airflow all the way open. When tasting juices, you can shut the airflow and get a thicker vape
I swap around quite a bit since I have more attys than mods. My daily setup is my Snow Wolf and Hanya. Take it to work with me everyday and it is a fantastic combo. Occasionally I'll use my Arctic tank, but that's normally when I don't have time to rebuild my Hanya since I don't care for tanks much anymore.
For flavor testing, I'll throw my velocity clone on my snow wolf. To be totally honest, I don't care for the build deck on the velocity. I just feel like it's wasted on such a small rda. But having so many airflow options really helps me nail down what flavors I need to tweak on different juices.
And for my at home setup, I use a Hammer of God V2 and Centurion RDA. Fucking killer setup. I love the series/parallel setup for battery life and how hard it hits. And the Centurion comes with 3 different sleeves offering different airflow (all 3 have a lot, but each one is very different) so I always have options. This one is used for my favorite juices, never for testing. Flavor is awesome, but not quite as versatile as my velocity clone.
My daily driver is still a Veritas clone. Has been for over a year now. With 26g dual vertical coils at 35W. Nothing I've tried even comes close for flavor, let alone practicality. And that's after trying like 20 other RDA designs at this point. Due to a genius airflow design with juice diversion channels, it doesn't leak when tipped, plus you can shut off the airflow entirely for pocket carry. And using vertical coils means I can run high heat flux coils with zero spitback. It's fucking perfection. It's a little hard to build on, but I've run the same coil for two months now through dozens of dry-burn/rewick cycles with no issues.
I'm kind of sorry to say the Veritas is my end-game atty though, because the original was never available in quantity and even all of the clones have vanished from every marketplace--even Fasttech!--over the last year as the idiotic vape gear market moved on to newer, shinier, but IMO worse designs. It's a travesty. It's left me worried about what I'm going to do when a thread eventually strips someday...
Possible good news, though: the NaRDA is a new atty that blatantly mimics the Veritas anti-leak design, but in a dual-airflow setup with a much simpler build deck. Like the Veritas, it appears that originals are basically impossible to buy unless you're really into the incredibly stupid vape-lyfe scene and willing to wait on secret waiting lists, because the creator(s) apparently don't like making money. Happily, Fasttech and other import-sites just got clones in stock.
I just got two NaRDA clones, one from Fasttech and another from 3FVape. They appear to be indistinguishable except one has a logo engraved on the base. They also appear to be high quality, possibly SXK. My experience so far is extremely positive. It's not as leakproof as the Veritas, because the juice diversion channels around the airflow holes are smaller, and spitback can be an issue because of the smaller chamber. But flavor production is VERY on-point, and you can still shut off the airflow for pocket carry. And jury-rigging dual vertical coils into it mostly solved the spitback issue. Very highly recommended.
I mean, look at this shit. I just searched Ebay for the hell of it, and what did I find? Someone's selling Veritas clones for $245. Knocked me out of my chair. We have some serious goddamn market failures in vaping.

well I run 5 set up's at home,crown,bellus,twisted mess's rda,tobh, velocity.all but 2 are DIY juice last two vender juice I vape are loopy pebbles from coval and thats allmost gone and watermellon crack from B-X I might have to keep buying becouse I'm trying to clone it with no luck.Hint Hint if anyone has a close verson pm me .

The real Barney Rubble (using v1 atm) is fantastic, and I have everything ordered to make Pebbles. Note: The Real Barney Rubble uses TFA Fruit Circles, and I find it needs 2-3 weeks to lose that "Lemon Pledge" scent/flavor. Give them both a shot.

Daily use are a Tugboat and a Petri, flavor testing usually starts in the Magma. I use a Crius v3 when dripping is inconvenient.
Is the magma as good as everybody says for flavor?
They're pretty damn wonderful. Wide open, it's a pretty restrictive lung hit with warm concentrated flavor, but I mostly use it with a single coil and the smallest single hole for some hot mouth to lung action.
Went from Royal Hunter to Mutation xS, then went without a wide bore for like a month cause I lost it after like 3, bought a Royal Hunter Mini a week ago & the insulator was about 90% melted away after 3 days.
Idk what I'm getting next but don't waste your fuckING money on the RH Mini. Worst $47 I've ever spent.
I got the full size royal hunter for 30 from my B&M and it's lasted me almost 6 months now.
a 5-wrap 22+22/28 3mm ID vertical(only way to get it to fit) fused clapton took out my full size royal hunter after like 2 months, otherwise it would've lasted at least 6; i had it for a few months before i put that monster in it. Have no complaints about the regular royal hunter.
The wide-bores screw in to the mini & both widebores it came with are pretty much stripped already & useless almost.
