I'm looking at switching up bottle suppliers and considering going from the standard glass boston rounds to CG unicorns. what do y'all think of these?
And so /u/abdada doesn't crush my nuts, let's say this is a poll. Would you, when buying commercial juice, prefer glass or these fancy unicorns?
CG is the designer cotton of bottles.

This is what I'm afraid of. I've read mixed reviews re: quality, more the majority are positive, and that's what is attracting me to them. That and vendors I respect are using them. But I'm still far from totally sold.
The people I sell to prefer LDPE unicorns, as they make dripping/filling tanks much easier and less messy than glass bottles.
Glass bottles look "premium" and "fancy", but practicality-wise, they aren't very good.
Watching this thread with extreme interest. I had honestly never heard of this brand before a few days ago. I'm curious how "in demand" these are. They just seem so horribly over priced!

I personally don't like chubby gorilla bottles because they're leaky. Plus i normally wrap a label around the bottom of the bottle, and the stupid gorilla at the bottom prevents me from doing so. still need to try the unicorn bottles with the tip like normal LDPE needle tip bottles.
Yeah the gorilla bothers me as well. I don't want or need that kind of co-branding with my line.
Then just use regular unicorn bottles?
I bought 1000 of the CG bottles recently because they're superior to unicorns.
The HUGE bottle opening makes it easy to pour into, the nozzle tip is fantastic for dripping into any tank or atty.
It's the best bottle I've ever used, bar none, and worthy of having their stamp of approval on it.
On top of that, so far, I've only come across about 1.5% failure rate in my batch, which is far below what I experienced with unicorns and any glass dropper Boston round.
A stunning product for an incredibly low price.
Would love to see /u/tournant switch to these. I need to buy some more Kheer asap, looking forward to CG bottles!
I've ordered unicorn bottles from TBD Liquids and I really like them. They carry 15mls and 30mls. The tip is wide enough for high VG juices and overall they are good quality. They don't have the twist spout like CG but the cap is not childproof which is nice.

I have these bottles, bought them on ebay. The price point is decent even in 50 packs (60 cents per).
I bought these because they are leak proof and I liked the gorilla branding. They are heavy duty bottles, cap is child proof, I re use them. Tip is tiny and long, perfect for dripping even high vg juice. Wide mouth for filling, I mix directly into 30mls by weight.
If you are branding bottles for consumer use I'd go cheaper and wrap a big label around the whole bottle. People use them and trash them so no reason to get expensive over a bottle that may be done in a day.
If you are looking for personal use nice bottles I highly suggest them though.
I saw someone recommend them last week so I picked up a 10 pack. I still use syringes because it's convenient for me, so it actually makes it a lot fast and easier to fill without having to put a needle back on after drawing the base into the syringe. The tip of my 10 ml syringes fit snuggly into the bottle, so I can't press them together and shoot it in without it making a mess. I just hold the syringe about 1 or 2 mm above the opening and squirt it into the bottle.
The actual tips on the bottle are a little narrow, and I though I would have to squeeze really hard to get the juice out of it, but with 70vg/30pg it dispenses like a normal unicorn bottle would.
I ordered mine from vape guru $.70 each just because I didn't want to wait, but you can get them from fasttech for ~$.55 each.
For sales, permit me to suggest plastic if the mailman is bringing it and glass for walk away with it retail. Plastic is practical. Humans judge by appearance more than we will admit.
I like them. Been using them for a couple months as my daily carry and they seem to work great. Cap has stood up and I don't get blow outs if I squeeze too hard. I also like they have a wider mouth so refilling is easy. I prefer plastic over glass for everything except long term storage.
I bought a small five pack of unicorns from fasttech and have yet to use them. I do like the way they look and feel though. I'm still torn on whether or not they're worth the price though, they seem to be priced between plastic rounds and glass rounds. I get my plastic rounds for .266 cents a bottle, glass rounds for .758 a bottle, and basic unicorns (not even the CG brand unicorns) will cost me .512 cents a bottle if I chose to go with them. Imo I don't feel that they're worth double the cost of 30ml plastic rounds for just being a different shape of plastic bottle, at the quantities I buy bottles in (usually 50 at a time). I understand the costs of having an injection mold made and such, might have to buy them in larger quantities to make it worthwhile for me. But as it stands this is just a hobby for me.
I've just been using glass Boston rounds for personal/friend use. I did buy some 30ml LDPE rounds off ebay for something like 50pc/$13 to help save money once I run out of the glass rounds I have.
I love the chubby gorillas. They're super portable, 1000% less annoying and fragile than dripping. I love that they're tall instead of fat. They're easy to fill, no muss no fuss. The only thing I don't like is that they're a little tippy, which I imagine would be a bit of a pain in the ass when mixing directly in them.
I personally prefer plastic squeezable bottles. Love the ones from mount baker vapor. Glass with droppers are a pain to fill with and almost impossible when they get low i find i need to pour into something else to use the last of it
1mL syringe with no needle is perfect for getting that last remainder that the dropper can't suck up.
Yeah i know its just a pain in the butt compared to plastic bottles. Plus im literally just starting DIY so ive only just started getting syringes etc
I actually just got some in and have mixed up a few bottles in them. So far I think they're quite nice. Easy to clean, fill, use, etc... only con I've noticed so far is the hole in the spout is a little narrow, makes for getting thicker liquid out kind of a pain, but this is easily remidied by shoving a needle, paperclip, or other thin metal object in to it to widen it up a bit. Other than that I use these as my personal bottles, glass for selling to friends/family or testing.
Edit: To answer your question, if I was buying commercial juice I still prefer glass. This is due to glass looking "premo" and having a better shelf-life for liquid.
I buy mine off fasttech, actually the only thing I buy there. Cheap as hell, and good quality for the price. I dont need no silly gorilla on the bottle or to pay more then i do from fasttech.
If buying commercial juice, with what they charge for that bs, I'd prefer to feel like I'm getting my money's worth with glass, even though the unicorns are easier to work with.
