If you missed the April Fools Thread, here's a brief recap:

90% of respondents didn't realize it was April Fool's day
All the mobile users threatened to unsub
Half of those who thought it was "real" complained, got pissed, or asked for exceptions
The other half were actually happy about the new rules. Really???

I also got a kick out of this post

Anyway, back to normal.

This sub is my first real dealing with Reddit. It took me a while to figure out what the hell a sidebar was, in fact. (I browse primarily on mobile). At the very beginning I thought people were being, perhaps, a bit short with some posters. But after a few days I quickly realized it wasn't so much a "toxic" atmosphere as HOLY SHIT PEOPLE ASK THE SAME 5 QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER HOW ANNOYING!

Ever since then I have had an appreciation for how much useful info actually makes it onto this sub

Hilarious! Thanks for not taking yourselves as seriously as some of the people commenting, the salt in some posts was all too real =) People looking for drama will find it wherever they go, there's nothing toxic about trying to maintain a bit of order. Good job mods and happy april fools =)

I apologize for falling under the 4th bullet point on your list. I purposely avoided all internet today except craigslist and this sub simply because I really don't like dealing with dumb April Fools stuff. I really can't say the new rules were dumb. Thanks for the temporary amusement though.

As a mobile user I enjoyed watching all of the mobile users get pissed off, I mean it's not even really plausible to block by device. Also ecr has no room for humor because it would take away from the great circlejerk there, and apparently they don't like us although I see vape bros from there trying to buy DIY juice every other day. Oh well, twas a good day for shit posts of all shapes and sizes.

What did you expect? IIRC last April Fool's day the response was pretty much the same. People totally lost their shit. It was amazing. I mean really, how do people take anything posted on April 1st seriously? Do they live under a rock?
