Got my hands on some nonnas cake, and it's pretty cool so far. Like others have said it's a pound cake with a little lemon zest standalone. In this mix the lemon zest is covered up by the tiramisu for the most part so you just get the nice pound cakiness. I'm a few beers deep on this Easter Sunday so I'm not going to do a full writeup of everything and this is just a v1 to experiment with nonna....anyway instantly when I tried nonna by itself, I thought tiramisu would help make for a marbled cake type of flavor and it sure does with the two flavors alone. (After some Web searching I saw that others have experimented with these two already). The two flavors together are a little dry and harsh. As people like hic have said, vienna cream is great for taming tiramisu, so I threw that in to help mellow out the tiramisu and help blend the two with some nice creaminess. It really helps with the dryness of the tiramisu and nonnas cake. The mix was missing some sweetness so I added 1% TFA caramel to help with that aspect. I don't have fa caramel on hand, as I love tfa's version but I'm sure it could work here as well. I'm enjoying this vape after a few days of steeping, but I'm looking to see what can make this mix a bit better. Suggestions welcomed!
- FA Nonnas Cake 3%
- FA Tiramisu 1%
- FA Vienna Cream 1%
- TFA Caramel 1%
HIC uses vienna, fresh and catalan cream with tiramisu in one of the recipes I tried. Creamy tiramisu or tiramisu cream. Cant remember the name, but the tiramisu NEEDS it. With the caramel in there to you may consider going a little heaver on the creams. Maybe 1.25% on all 3.

I've found that 0.5%-1% of CAP Vanilla Custard v2 is good for taming sharp flavors and creaming things up without imparting too much vanilla custard flavor. I haven't used FA Tiramisu in a long time but I would be starting out adding a little CAP VCv2 just because I remember how damn strong and sharp that flavor is. I used to mix it at 0.2% and it was still way too strong. I hadn't learned how to drown something in cream at that point.
It's funny because my gf vapes tiramisu standalone on the regular at 2.5%....she loves it lol. I'll try the v2 out. It might add some definition as well. Good thought
Maybe at 2.5% it's not as strong as it is at 0.75-1.5%. Different strokes and all. Let me know if the VCv2 trick works for you. For me it's the opposite of definition. If I'm getting too much sting from CAP Sweet Strawberry or Tangerine, the VCv2 helps keep the middle fruity notes while taking the edge off the top end. FA Marshmallow is another flavor that can absolutely destroy the flavor of a mix if you use too much but it can do wonders for smoothing a mix and increasing mouthfeel as well. It could work here as well but start at 0.5% max. If you use Marshmallow you may find yourself wanting to bump the other flavors up a little.
