I'm going to toss my recipe into the fray because I feel like I'm close on this one, but I'm still missing a few things. It's inspired by none other than Bronuts by /u/Enyawreklaw , and although I do enjoy that recipe, I am not a big chocolate vape kinda guy, so I wanted to try my hand at a glazed doughnut with a creamy frosting and sprinkles. As I said, this mix is literally on the ground floor, but I think it's got potential. What I like about it is that it actually has a bakery feel to it, unlike every other "premium" doughnut vape I've tried. The others are just sugar on top of sugar on top of sugar with maybe a touch of sweet strawberry. Recipe + initial flavour notes + concept below.

- FA Joy at 0.75%
- FW Yellow Cake at 1%
- INW Biscuit at 0.75%
- CAP Sweet Cream at 2%
- TFA Cotton Candy at 0.75%
- TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream at 1%
- TFA Fruit Circles with Milk at 2%
- CAP Vanilla Custard V2 at 1%

Flavour Notes
CAP Glazed Doughnut - on my first attempt at this, I literally subbed out the Chocolate Glazed Doughnut from the Bronuts recipe and, surprise surprise, regular Glazed Donut at 7% is deadly. So I dropped it down to 3% and it seems to sit nicely there. That doughnut flavour is noticeable without that fake play-doh taste everyone talks about.
FA Joy / FW Yellow Cake / INW Biscuit - again, ripped from Bronuts, and it's crucial that these are in the mix for that bakery feel. Don't fuck with the percentages, you don't need to.
CAP Sweet Cream - Initially, I was using TFA Bav Cream instead, and mixed with the CAP Vanilla Custard, it was just overpowering with a yogurt type of flavour. Added Sweet Cream instead and it helped create that sugary, creamy frosting. Also seemed to help balance the recipe and keep the doughnut from being overpowering.
TFA VBIC / CAP Vanilla Custard - While my last note talked about removing that yogurt custard note, these worked really well in the recipe at low percentages. I can't tell if they really are all that different from each other in individual taste testing, but they add a rich vanilla flavour that works in creating that frosting element.
TFA Fruit Circles with Milk - This is where things get interesting. FCwM is not a flavour I typically enjoy using. And I still am unsure if it is the right choice in this recipe. But it did seem to add something. Previous attempts without FCwM did not have an additional sugary fruit-ness to them that I do enjoy in the recipe. This was supposed to create a "sprinkle" flavour. I'm debating on trying a mix with Silly Rabbit instead, because I used to use that flavour a lot as a little boost of flavour, and it always worked better than Fruit Circles.
Concept
My previous recipe was entitled Nebula, and the one after that was Exoplanet. Keeping with the astronomical themes, Ejecta is the material underneath the surface of a body such as a planet or moon that is ejected upon impact from something such as a meteor strike. I liked the idea of a doughnut recipe being titled that simply because it seems like this flavour profile is hard to get right. So I like to think of it as the beautiful material underneath the surface that just needs a little force to be created. I'm lame and like space a lot.
ALRIGHT. After that wall of text, I am opening it up to you bakery geniuses. What needs to change, what needs to be added, is this recipe just a flop overall? Let me know what you think. As I said before, it seems to get better with age, 2-3 days of steeping is where I noticed the flavours started to separate a bit and you could pick up on the individual nuances in the recipe. And yes, holy fuck, matthewkocanda is mixing a 9 flavour recipe. I wasn't happy about it either, but it seemed to work, so I went with it.

I would imagine all that cream & Ethyl Maltol(CAS 4940-11-8 for FCwM) is muting your doughnut.
Also just creeped you posts to see if you posted that cereal recipe anywhere and I came across something from a while back about some fucksticks vaping olive oil. What the actual fuck.

Holy shit, someone was using 99% pure nicotine? At first I was confused because I use 100mg/ml nicotine for my DIY. At first was using 48mg/ml and was blowing through it, so I upped it and can use less. So I was confused why that person was catching shit for getting what they got, then I realized they weren't using 99mg/ml, but 99% pure nic. What a fuck.
I almost posted it to the FOTW: Cereal edition but never wrote notes & only half-formatted it. That tab sat open for like 2 weeks before I finally closed it lol. Only manson has the recipe but I can post it or give you it.
Olive Oil, Fruit Juice, vaping juice out of a lightbulb, dad-pissed-in-my-juice, there's all sorts of stupid shit getting posted places waiting to be archived.
I know that the cereal mixes sort of require a lot of flavours, and I typically don't experiment with creams and shit like that because I'm still not as confident with it, so most of my personal recipes stick to 3-5 flavours and they work there, so I leave em alone. I'm venturing into more experimentation so that's why even 9 flavours is a lot for me haha.
Thanks for the note. I was thinking about trying Silly Rabbit in place of the FCwM and cutting out the VBIC or custard and seeing what happens there. I like where this recipe is heading, it just still isn't right.
Have you tried TFA frosted donut with Cap? FA meringue can give a very similar flavor as well.
I have not tried TFA frosted donut. I'll be picking some up. I have been messing with an alteration of this recipe that doesn't even use the CAP Glazed Doughnut, wherein I use Meringue, Torrone, Joy, and a few other notes to sort of emulate the doughnut feel. Haven't gotten the percentages down yet, but it might be another route to try.
TFA glazed donut seems to have more of the sugary glaze taste than the actual bready flavor (complete opposite of the CAP donut). It's extremely subtle too. I think a combination of TFA and Caps would probably make a good donut base though and you can go heavy handed with TFA since it's so subtle.
