Sales?
submitted over 9 years ago by Guitarpik

So I'm about to get back into diy after a long absence. I added about $100 worth of stuff to my cart at Gremlindiy and then saw the coupon code box. I'm in no real rush and rather wait to use a coupon.

Does anyone know if there's any current codes? Couldn't find any. Or how often sites do sales (gremlin or bcv)?

Thanks!

We're actually prepping for a St. Patrick's sale right now, shouldn't be too long before a post from the Boss Gremlin. I believe it'll be about 10% off starting this afternoon sometime. We'll have the announcement in our sub /r/GremlinDIY

I received my first order today from you. I have nothing but positive things to say. From the shipping time to the packaging.

Sincerely,

A very happy customer.

Glad to hear it! We've had such bad luck with shipping before we try to leave as little to chance as possible.

+1 to this. I recently received my 40+ flavour order from you guys only two days after I placed it. You are my new concentrate vendor for life, and I'm looking forward to this sale. Already need to get some new flavours. The grind never ends, I suppose.

How long does it normally take for an order to be filled? Placed an order on the 28th, really looking forward to deliver so I can delve in to diy

yay thanks guys!
I always love ordering from you all because of your dedication to the DIY scene..

Not complaining one bit but is there a $ threshold for free shipping...? Or is it ~$7 no matter how big the order?

Thank you, we all absolutely love being a part of it!

Sorry, no free shipping though D:

Under a pound (I believe) is $3, then $7 for over that up to a certain point where it actually goes to $10. We really wanted to keep shipping costs close to what we have to pay to keep it from affecting the costs for flavors one way or another.

We try to keep to the actual USPS cost. The smaller boxes come in around $3, but the larger orders usually have to go in a larger priority box, and those come in between $6 and $7 to ship. In general, we lose money on shipping every month to try to keep the cost down as much as we can. Most of those $3 boxes are actually $3.50 + to ship. :)

In fact, right now I'm trying to figure out how to ship the candy molds. Mgremlin is working with me on this one as he is the shipping expert here, but those molds are too big to fit in anything but a medium flat rate... so those candy molds themselves cost $11.60 to ship. Argh! Too much math. I need a cookie.

$3.00 is better than BVC i believe . Shipping is the # 1 reason i don't order on a regular basis and i can't afford big orders at one time either.

I appreciate the honest answer :)
A business that shows transparency is definitely consumer focused. And thank you for all that you do. Your staff is amazing and I always recommend you guys first over ECX and BCV. Just because of the leaked recipes/flavorings you put out and always getting flavorings the mixers want. I even got a flavoring ( cap VBIC) BEFORE you all had put it on the site & combined it with an order I had already placed to save on shipping.
Your crew goes above and beyond normal customer service!

Have you tried shipping them in those manilla bubble wrap envelopes? I'm not sure how large your candy molds are, but those envelopes are quite nice for shipping anything that is flat in. And the shipping cost on them is definitely lower than $11.60. I can't recall the exact price on them, but I know it wasn't that much when I used them for my business.

And they're cheap and you can get them almost anywhere in bulk. I usually just buy them from Staples or Office Max. But I'm sure a quick Amazon search will find plenty in bulk. Not sure if this will work at all for your candy molds, but I figured I'd throw in my two cents to help ya out if possible.
