Sorry if this shouldn't be here, wasn't sure how this type of post would be handled.
Did this post get deleted or removed by the OP? I was super excited to try this flavor out when I saw it posted, put everything in wish lists to prepare for my next order, but didn't copy down the percentages.
Is it possible that anyone else has it? If it was taken down by the OP itself because he didn't want it up anymore that's understandable, was just hoping that it is still around. Thanks!
It got deleted by OP.
My Repost to my Sub
OP
What's the story behind the deletion? I missed that one...
He got called out for "making a living" selling juice and he's very sensitive. He threatened to leave the sub several times in the last few months. I'm guessing he'll be lurking from now on. His manic rambling posts would be easy to spot if he used an alt account.
It's too bad, though. He seemed really dedicated to the craft.
If you want some more in depth knowledge, and a MUCH simpler blue razz recipe, I wrote an article for InTheMix magazine. IMO fawg has good intentions, but tends to overthink recipes, there is no need for blue razz to have like ~~8~~ 12, holyshit, ingredients ~~or however many there were.~~
It's just an approximation of the Whitebark Raspberry, which is like a mix between tart blackberry and red raspberry.
edit: I'm sure wayne wouldn't mind if I shared the google doc that I wrote it in.
The recipe itself is EXTREMELY simple:
- 67% TFA Raspberry Sweet
- 4.5% FLV Boysenberry
- 3.5% INW Raspberry
- 25% Ethyl Maltol(10%)
#This is a flavor base, not a finished juice
edit: I'll just copy and paste this into a new thread with the google docs link so it's easier to searchbar.
12 ingredients o_O
Yeah, I found an accurate blue raspberry flavor using 4.
The EM is there because blue razz is a made up flavor for the frozen confectionery industry, so it needed to be really sweet.
I've tried making it from scratch by request and came up with a few decent variations but they didn't really capture the profile. Ended up grabbing some of OSDIY's Blue Raspberry Slush and added a few things to enhance it. Requester was impressed but I'm still looking for something better.
does that give it a nice tart "punch"? Im vaping Northland's blue razz and its got a great sour taste to it.
First I've heard of this juice. How's their juice in general? I've found a lot of budget juice businesses have really perfume smelling, just overall bad juices. Now I'm skeptical to buy any super cheap juice. 15 bucks for 120ml is crazy cheap.
I'm burning through my last 120 of blue razz right now, I'm really digging it. I reordered from them and picked up M3 and No4, M3 is very refreshing with a touch of menthol and No4 is more of a honeydew mix. So far I enjoy all 3, vapeable right away, some people complain that blue razz smells like glue, and it kind of does because of the strong tart flavor, but in lower quantities you can smell more of the blue raspberry.
Oh, that's awesome! So is it possible to get complex flavor profiles using "basic" or just using smaller amounts of flavors?
I kinda unknowingly shafted myself on my first purchase and found out after the fact that I can't taste strawberry or cream all that well. Sucks because I bought the flavors needed to make Bronuts, Fizzmustard, NCM's Strawberry Shortcake, and Coop's raspberry custard.
Because everything tasted so bland(sans Bronuts but Chocolate can't be a ADV for me.) I have it in my head that I needed something more complex in terms of flavoring. :/
Same, I even made a thread about not tasting strawberry a few days ago. I've made so many strawberry and creams from Mustard Milk to the UM clone and everything in between and its always flavorless or grassy tasting.
Yeah, your post on it was what made me realize that I probably have the same problem. The flavors still have a creamy mouthfeel, but don't taste like anything. I want to play with strawberry some more because my problem might just be limited to creams, as I've tasted strawberry in some bought juices. That might be because a sweetener was added though.
Thanks for that post!
I was so psyched about that blue razz post, I've been wanting to make one for a while. This one is such a bummer, I didn't order boisionberry :(
Any off the top of your head ideas for just a blue razz without the boision?
