Just got all my supplies in. Whipped up my first test batch.
Test batch 10ml:
4% strawberry tfa,
4% banana foster tfa,
1% cheese cake (crust) tfa,
1% vanilla swirl tfa.
Just a test batch. Not even that accurately created, had to guess drop in the flavors. And I didn't follow a recipe or anything, the flavors just sounded good.
So. Freaking. delicious. And so cheap. And it's MINE. And I didn't waste anything yet, That was my first batch. I should have done this so long ago. Thank you to the members of this sub for having well organized data for new people like me.
Wait... no... what? SOMEONE USED THE WEALTH OF INFO IN THE SIDEBAR TO SUCCESSFULLY MAKE JUICE?
:D
(Big congrats mate :)
There is a side bar? Congrats on your first success! I use drops sometimes when I’m close to where I need to be, and its down to drip shake and taste, lol. Pretty hard to accurately replicate anything other than a single flavor using drops though. Just don't totally discount any method based on here say, use the right tool for the right job.
Mix with a scale, you will thank yourself. Good job joining the team :)
is it okay to use ML syringes, or is scale still better?
Scales are better in most peoples opinions for many reasons. MY reasons are
Its Faster
Its Cleaner / easier cleanup
Its accurate (if you use a good, calibrated scale)
This is the kind of thing I love to hear, minus measuring by drops haha. Glad you were able to properly utilize the sub with success. Congrats, and thank you for the recipe!
I'm currently in love with vanilla swirl. I bought it based off it being on most people's go to flavor list and in the last few weeks I've added it to a dozen things. Works so well with fruit flavors
nothing wasted here yet (knock on wood and all that). Even if what I mix isn't perfect, it's vapeable and cheap, and gets me one step further to what i'm aiming for. I've done two just tonight that were very close to the mark on completely different recipes on the fly with ingredients in my stash - and only a month in!
standing on the shoulders of giants and all that; I feel like I waited just the right amount of time to start mixing my own after trying dozen's of premium and budget juices to find what flavors click with me, and which ones need a tweak to play nice (and stepping out of my comfort zone to try some I hated that were just mixed for a different palate) - glad you had a good experience to start; keep on mixing!
congrats op, you did well nailing your first creation, btw, they dont all come out awesome lol, grab yoursel a scale tho, it is the difference between being able to knock a batch up in 60 seconds to swishing out syringes between flavours for 5 mins. even a cheapo fasttech one will get you going , ensure it does 0.00 of grammes tho
